This was definitely bad. Really, really bad. Bailey usually wasn’t the type to misbehave. Or, at the very least, she wasn’t the kind to get caught. And she’d never done anything quite like this before. Crashing the prized possession - a red mustang. If it was her parents, honestly, she would have worried less. Bailey was the youngest, the baby of the family. And while she’d certainly gotten in trouble, her mom and dad usually took it fairly easy on her.
But no, that wasn’t the case. This time, she’d messed up to someone who wasn’t going to easily forgive her. The red mustang’s owner: her older brother. Her older and not-so-chill brother who was already letting her stay with him for college. Shit. Bailey hesitated in unlocking the door and coming inside but made herself do it. Her friends had dropped her off, letting her take the fall on her own, of course.
“Nik?” The blonde called out, coming inside to the living room. “I uh, I need to tell you something.” She stood for a moment, fidgeting, but knew this was better said now. “Your car.... It’s uhm.. It’s pretty much totaled.” She looked down at the floor. “My friends wanted me to take it out, and I didn’t want to, but they were really insistent.... And... well, we got into an accident. And we’re all fine.. But... I don’t think the car can be fixed.” Bailey looked up at him then, eyes a bit wide, upset with the situation but also hoping for some pity. “I’m so so sorry, Nik. I swear, I didn’t mean to. And I’ll help pay for a new car, okay? I mean I don’t have much... but I’ll offer what I can.” She bit down on her lip. “I’m really sorry.”
