[NEWS UPDATE] Hatsukoi: “Hatsukoi ~Otousan, Chibi ga Inaku Narimashita~” is currently showing in theaters in Japan

SUMMARY

Adapted from the manga “Otousan, Chibi ga Inaku Narimashita” written by Nishi Keiko, the movie “Hatsukoi ~Otousan, Chibi ga Inaku Narimashita~” is scheduled to be released in Spring 2019!

“Otousan, Chibi ga Inaku Narimashita” tells the story of the hidden feelings of an elderly couple. Having raised three children, Yukiko (Baisho Chieko) spends her later years living together with her bossy husband, Shou (Fuji Tatsuya), and her cat, Chibi. During this seemingly peaceful time, one day, she tells her daughter, Naoko (Ichikawa Mikako), “I’m thinking of separating from your father.”

At that same moment, Chibi vanishes.

DESCRIPTION OF SATO RYUJI’S ROLE(S)

Ryuji will be playing a double character role for the movie.

One of the roles he’ll be playing is Yongi, a character in a Korean drama that Yukiko loves. For the purpose of this role, his dialogue was in Korean and he acted it out in Korean. However, he was then given the unique experience of dubbing over his own Korean dialogue in Japanese.

The second role that he’ll be taking on is Sasahara, the pet detective who helps to look for the missing Chibi, and who looks exactly like Yongi.
