#坂本龍一 最期の日々#ryuichi sakamoto: last days#ryuichi sakamoto#yukihiro takahashi#haruomi hosono#jmovie#documentary#screencaps#*unlisted#*rs#*efd#🀀#long post#i've put this off for some time. knew it will be an upsetting watch#before this i could feel his presence. after watching it hit a nail (in the coffin). i was left distraught felt empty for days#it was distressing to see him on his deathbed. felt like i was confronted with my own mortality & the fragility of human life#cancer runs within my family it’s only matter of time that it gets to me but i’m just nonchalant about it. that's how i cope#can't help wonder why he lets us see this vulnerable moment of his perhaps life kept cut him short. he felt it was a death sentence#he lived his life meaningfully as time closing in. still feeling hopeful yet sometimes hopeless over his declining health#there were times he can't bear listening to music. only sound of rain soothed him. in his last moment it was the rain that took him away#his family & the people who assisted them did a great job taking care of him in his final years#it was tough for hosono to grasp that YT & RS would left so soon. that pic of him on the rooftop while looking up the sky it broke me too#(i'll take my time checking the activity since i've been away over a week 🙃 if anyone have tagged/ replied me i’ll try to get back later)
