#east.txt#time for some footnotes:#1) i’m biased when it comes to maestro sakamoto. coda was a glimpse into his personal life & work#2) opus was sakamoto’s final performance. his son neo did a great job capturing the fragile beauty of this masterpiece#3) the talented child actors! the plot twist! it was a painful watch though#4) delinquent crime solving with wacky cinematography what’s not to love? i adore the very y2k vibe of this show#5) it was very different from cronenberg’s usual body horror thriller films. i was enchanted by pretty john lone too#6) watched for isomura hayato but stayed for the unapologetically queer love story#there’s more queer film faves but reserved it for june#unrelated: im out in the woods (well not really) celebrating harvest festival. will catch up when i have decent internet
