I just finished binge-watching S.C.I. Mystery and am wondering what your headcanon is for how Zhao Zhen convinced Bai Chi to live with him - other than luring him in with Lisbon, or course.
Ooo, an S.C.I. headcanon! I haven't done one of these in so long
Zhao Zhen at first tries to convice Bai Chi to live with him with Lisbon and with the reminder that they were friends when they were little so Bai Chi should take care of him
Then when it's revealed that Zhao Zhen's butler is the "Magic Killer" and Bai Chi sees how brokenhearted Zhao Zhen is, he decides that yeah, okay, maybe he should stay with Zhao Zhen and take care of him
It's not that Bai Chi doesn't trust Zhao Zhen to live on his own, but also, his house is huge compared to Bai Chi's little apartment and Zhao Zhen says that there's enough space for the two of them and he'll get lonely if it's just him and Lisbon
Bai Chi has a big heart so of course he takes pity on Zhao Zhen because really, his life kind of sucks; his uncle is fucking Zhao Jue and his butler is the fucking Magic Killer. Kid can't catch a fucking break
Bai Chi also thinks it'd be good to have at least one friend and he's pretty sure that Zhao Zhen doesn't really...have friends. He's got fans but friends? Yeah, he doesn't have one. So that's another reason why he stays: to be Zhao Zhen's friend
Zhao Zhen has always had a butler so he convinces Bai Chi to stay and cook for him because he's...not really capable in the kitchen. So Bai Chi staying would be beneficial to both of them because Zhao Zhen won't kill both of them with his cooking and maybe Bai Chi can teach Zhao Zhen to cook
Really, Bai Chi and Zhao Zhen are just the younger version of Bai Yutong and Zhan Yao (they'd probably become the next team leader and deputy team leader if Bai Yutong and Zhan Yao ever retire)
But mainly, while Zhao Zhen says he convinced Bai Chi to stay with him, Bai Chi did it out of the bigness and kindness of his heart. He could have just let Zhao Zhen live by himself, but he saw someone a lot like himself, a bit of a weirdo and a bit of an outcast and was like...yeah, I'm gonna take care of that
