That anon was wrong for that. It's tragic when anyone, in general, gets to the point that they view leaving early as the best option available, and people like you who were fans of his deserve to grieve properly and remember him for how you saw him. I don't listen to kpop myself, but I can understand why he was liked so much for how he used the voice he had.
After I responded to that anon I started crying bc it hurt my heart so much that a comment like that was made about someone like Jonghyun.
It’s not only that he was great as an artist, but also as a human being. He would raise proceeds made from concerts/songs and donate them to good causes like UNICEF & Smile For U, and he spoke out for causes he felt strongly about, including his support for the LGBT community... which are only a few of the many things that he did. At the end of the day, he was a really good person at heart
I grieve for the fact that he felt that leaving was his only escape from his suffering, and I can only pray that he’s able to feel at peace where he is now. He absolutely didn’t deserve a comment like that being made about him, which is why I got especially heated
I do appreciate you at least understanding my position, bc it reminds me that not all of my followers are literal scum, so thank you friend :)
