Warning: Angst, and possibly hate for Kageyama Tobio

You watched. You realized what was happening, but you couldn’t stop him.

Kageyama was slowly getting away from you. His eyes didn’t shine towards you. They shined as they entered in they room.

It hurt you...Seeing how you lost him so easily. How you couldn´t do anything to stop him. When you noticed... You didn´t hold his affection anymore.  

You saw his smile towards the new person. How he cared more for them than for you... You saw it all and all you could do was appreciate while you could call him your boyfriend.

A week later he broke up with you...You just accepted and smiled as the tears fell down your face. He tried to hug you, but you didn’t let, and run…

You didn’t know where you were going until you hit someone...It was the new shine in the eyes of your, now, ex-boyfriend. You needed to be alone, just for a little for you could be back to your damn life, so why wasn’t she helping? 

You run once again not saying a word, and you got to hit someone else. Asahi grabbed your shoulders for you not fall, and the panic in his face when he saw you cry wasn’t the best. 

You two are friends, he knew what was going on, as you told him. As he understood what was happening he just hugged you tight. You were still crying as he passed his hands on your hair, comforting you. You two were in silence as you were slowly stopping crying.

“It happened didn’t it?” he asked softly, his hands still in your head as you nod trying to breathe. 

“Don’t worry child, it will be better soon, I promise… Let´s get some ice cream after school shall we?” You only hugged him once more, and he let it be. 

Kageyama was after you, after you ran from him, and he saw when you hit his new crush, and the way you looked at. He knew that you knew. And was now too afraid of how much you knew. Did you know when the two first kiss, while you were still dating him? Or when they two got too far? Kageyama started to cry, not knowing why he hurt you so much and he didn’t know why he didn’t break up sooner with you. He still followed you and saw how your senpai took care and hugged you. You were in good hands. He also saw how when you were calming down and your senpai started to talk. The words cutting his heart, you knew that this day would come.

You left home ready to come back crying.ready to stuff yourself with candy, and new books to take your mind out of it.

 Asahi understood your reasons too, but he couldn’t be more against it. He wanted you to dump the weight of your shoulders. He saw all your reactions, how scared you looked when he came to be with you, and how you relaxed as he hugged you and kissed the side of your head. He was also the one that you passed your nighttime talking as the insomnia consumed you. The dark circles around your eyes showing bigger as the days go by, and the quantity of makeup that you used to hide it. He also saw his reactions as the new person entered the room, and how they smiled at him, and the wink he send didn’t clam your senpai hearts.

 You paid attention to him, but these last days you didn’t. He was the last person and first person you wanted to see that week.

 Asahi was angry with Kageyama, but he couldn’t do anything, until on the day before he broke up with you. He saw your still boyfriend kissing another person that it wasn’t you. He was going to confront him, but the other senpais stopped him. Asahi was so damm angry! Like he was never before! He wanted to hit Kageyama so damn bad, and for the first time in his life, his anger was so big that he cried. He didn’t tell you, how could he? But he needs to.

“Y/n, I am sorry but I need you to look in my eyes. I have to tell you something…” you looked to his eyes, while cleaning the tears that fell down your face and you saw the sad smile in his face as he kissed your forehead” I saw him and...kissing yesterday.” 

You were so damn surprised. You expected everything from him, except that he would do something like that. You would never in your whole life though that he would cheat on you. 

“ I wanted to punch him so bad...But I was stopped. Suga and Daichi stopped me. I am sorry…” He hugged you close to his body, his head on your shoulder, and by the movement of his back you knew he was crying...crying because he couldn’t punch someone, he the most peaceful person that you knew. You laughed at the image of him punching someone. If it was in the face, at least the other person would have one broken nose, at the very least. 

He was surprised of seeing you laugh, it would have been the last scenario that past in his head. You kissed him in the cheek and smiled softly at him. 

“Yup, you should have punched him in the face. Just because I can’t imagine you hitting someone because of me ”

“You are my best friend, giving him a broken nose was the very least that I should give him.”

You laughed once more and hugged him. 

As promised after school, and his practice of volleyball both of you went to get ice cream.

The practice had a heavy tension. Kageyama is the setter of the team of the school, Asahi the Ace, Suga the other setter, and the wing spiker was Daichi. Only they knew, but the heavy clime didn’t past unnoticed by everyone. Kageyama was sure it was because he broke up with you, he don’t even know that he was caught kissing another person as you two dated. 

Asahi was angry, and that expression on his face was scary. You could only laugh as the second and first years jumped as soon as he said their’s name. Kageyama was surprised that you were laughing so soon, but he was happy that you weren´t suffering because of him, that was a bastard towards you.

 On the break you reached to Asahi, giving him his water, and not once your eyes danced towards Kageyama. You didn’t speak towards anyone else that it wasn’t Asahi, and everyone saw how Asahi was normal by your side, how gentle he was towards you, and how he kissed your forehead, like Kageyama did to you, before going back to practice. Nobody saw, or you hoped not to, your red face as you were reaching the countertops to wait. Suga saw, and he was happy for you. 

You waited the end of the practice, watching and deleting all your pictures with Kageyama, and his phone number too. You also had fun how scared Kageyama was of your best friend that looked like he could kill him. It was in those times that you laughed the most. And you saw how Asahi was always checking out how you were. And when you laughed way too loud how he looked at you, a soft expression and making a sign for you to make less noise. 

The practiced passed, and you saw him get out of the change locks with his hair wet and in other clothes.

You guys went to get your favorite ice cream, mint with chocolate, to one of the best places in town, near to a shop of anime stuff. You two had a great time, and he went to leave you at your house. He kissed you in the cheek and got on his way home. 

He was happy to see you happy, but he was also happy for the time you passed with him today.

That night, you had one of the best nights of sleep of ever and woke up feeling the best you ever could, still filling that little sad part of you because of your last love. But that wasn´t stoping you today.

Is Bakayama or Bakageyama? I honestly don’t remember and can’t be bothered to go check but... I want to know, I’ve seen both in fics... I’m upset.

All the nicknames are blurring for me, I can’t remember which ones are canon and which ones are fanon...

Yamayama, Yama, Kags... like, Hinata is baby, and he would say these things, I just don’t remember if he does in canon or not
