So I've been playing d&d for years now but I've never played mtg. Should I honestly start playing it even tho the winner seems to usually be the person who can afford better cards? Or should I just check out the intersting-looking lore?
i may be biased, but the lore makes it worth it. i’m not super invested in actually playing the game, and the one format i do regularly play is usually more casual. the lore is about 95% of why i’m here. you can still play the game on a budget, so i’d say start with the lore and then get into the game as you get comfortable with it. is that helpful?
