Create these delightful Mickey and Minnie cookies to add a touch of Disney magic to your baking! These cute and colorful cookies are perfect for themed parties, special occasions, or simply to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Ingredients: 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1 large egg. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Red and black gel food coloring. White chocolate chips or candy melts.
Instructions: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms. Divide the dough in half. Add red gel food coloring to one half and black gel food coloring to the other half. Knead the dough until the color is evenly distributed. Shape the red dough into small balls for Mickey's head and larger ovals for Minnie's head. Shape the black dough into smaller balls for Mickey's ears and two curved lines for Minnie's ears. Place the shaped dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, arranging them into Mickey and Minnie shapes. Bake in a preheated oven at 350F 175C for about 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Melt white chocolate chips or candy melts and use them to create Mickey and Minnie's facial features, such as eyes, nose, and mouth. Allow the chocolate to set before serving or enjoying your adorable Mickey and Minnie cookies!
