"That's everything that needs to go in the mixing bowl at the start, right?" Kyrie craned their neck over toward their phone, which was draining its battery slowly on the slightly sugar-dusted kitchen counter. It looked like sifting in flour later was important.
Turning back to Perona afterward, their eyes lit up with new energy. "Do you want to mix it or mess around with whipping the egg whites?"
Kyrie was enthused about the end product — a chiffon cake, which they'd never made before — but the process was also fun.
