Baking Tip Tuesday! One of the recipes in my Abbington Pickets Cookbook is my Aunt Annie’s bun recipe. I use it for many different recipes. One is braided bread. It’s easier to quickly make a braid instead of lots of little balls for buns, and when you slice and serve it’s around the same portion as a bun. Try it out next time you bake buns! Baking Tip Tuesday This weekend was cool and rainy, perfect weather for Chicken and Dumplings. Oh boy they were good! I know some make them with left over roasted chicken and gravy but I usually cook chicken thighs and go from there! When making my pastry recipe, when I add the flour I make sure not to over do it it and keep the pastry sticky. That way you can add more flour when rolling and your pastry won’t be too dry and it will last longer for each pie.
