["You're Going Down A Path I Can't Follow" Prompts]
The air stunk with the smell of burning hair and charred meat, fires of all sizes surrounding the crash site, the ground peppered with craters from an earlier aerial onslaught. And in the middle of it stood a red-marked Siren, her body hunched over as she huffed and puffed like she'd ran a cosmos wide marathon. The bodies of several crimson raiders lay, some miraculously in one piece, others not so fortunate, all of them the victim of their former fellow resistance member. Firefly couldn't help but laugh at the horrifying irony of it all, despite her breathlessness. Fire burned under her skin, her fingers tingled with red hot phase energy, the cosmos itself danced in the vacant space under her eyelids, and if it weren't for the thrumming pain in her head- a symptom of her current high-octane eridium comedown- she would've heard the telltale crowing of a trashfeeder overhead. She felt eyes on her only a moment later- paranoia also a symptom of the ethereal material drumming in her veins- and turned to see a certain pretty birdy sat on one of the makeshift barriers of the now desecrated crimson raider camp. "Heyyy there, lil' buddy. Where's yer owner at?" Firefly slurred, taking slow bouncing steps towards the wing, her Siren hand outstretched. Her phasecrash ability was still at full level, keeping her as light as a feather, she almost look like a mime in zero-g. "What's up Talon? Y'want some scritches little buddy?" Firefly extended her shaking hand toward the trashfeeder, whether she meant to incinerate or earnestly pet Talon, nobody but her would know. She only retracted when a bullet whizzed past, nearly grazing her fingers, Firefly yanked her hand back like a child who'd touched the stove for the first time. It didn't take a clear mind to know who's sniper rifle it came from. "Heyyy Mordy, when'd you git here?" She asked in full earnesty, as if the horror show around her was just a childish prank from when she was nothing more than a rambunctious teen.
"Y'gonna tell Ma on me?"
