   Ｅver since he had entered this new place, Ayatane could tell that a certain someone was here.

   Perhaps it was from his years upon years of travelling, reincarnation, rebirth - whatever you called it - that honed his senses to familiar people. For him, those he was closest too had certain.. Feelings. Warmth. Coolness. Comfort. Things that let him know that yes, this was indeed the person he had been looking for. Though reuniting was difficult, it did happen on rare occasions. Thinking over his entire previous lives, at least... three times? But it mattered not how many times - the fact that this presence was so overwhelming is what was on his mind at the moment.

   Anxiously pacing up and down the shop, the small figure reorganizes doll casts, clothing, the like. The miniature likenesses of humans were always so much more petite and adorable than the real ones - something that always intrigued him. However, today was different, he couldn’t focus on the fact that this was his favorite thing - he was focused on why this feeling was so strong. As far as he could tell, those of all kinds gather in this place, for person reasons. Love, vengeance, company, all of the range of human emotions. It intrigued him, and as such, he decided to join himself. But this presence wasn’t expected.

   ‘ Stronger. It’s getting closer. ‘

   Thoughts overtaking him, his feet move before his mind does. He simply drops what he was holding, caring not for it’s value. A desperate expression was written across his features, blue eyes filled with distress. Hands meet the door, and it’s shoved open - violently ringing the bell adorned at the top of the ‘way, clattering as the door is shut. A sharp right turn is taken, and yes, as expected, a familiar - yet different - figure was coming his way. With a bright smile and open arms, only a few steps are needed before they meet each other half way. His joyful, boyish voice cries out in laughter, relief, and happiness - in his arms, was someone he cared for. Deeply. Sincerely. 

   “ Shi-Shi-Chan! You’re here, it’s really, truly you! “

As harsh as those words may have been, Lightning would’ve spoken them out anyway. There’d never been any use in censorship if all it ever does is comfort the ignorance of another. She’s completely unaware entirely by this child’s past and possibly it’s forms and all that it could’ve taken. Or even if this being--or whatever it was, if this was a child at all. She’s witnessed cases a few times where a child hadn’t exactly been what she’d first thought. Looks were very deceiving. And boy, was experience ever the best teacher. She’s not aware entirely of this child’s must’ve suffered, or even endured in her former life. But either case, her guard would never be down. Weighing the pros and cons of the situation, there was struggle in the sense on determining even if she’s been alive, or just had been a passing soul--those that felt real and solid, but then still, an ever waning essence. There were different and various of apparitions, demons, monsters fiends all alike. She was far away from being some non-believer. “I don’t care how safe it seems all by yourself from time to time, but it’s not safe for a child to go wandering off.” Maybe with a hint of skepticism and sarcasm over on the rosette’s end.

Midday in Koi City appeared to be bustling with people out and about.  In fact, Phos thought - no, they were sure that there were more people here than they had ever seen in their life.  There were more residents in this city than there had been in Phos's entire world!  How could they handle this many people around them when they had just come from an island that was made up of only 27 other gems?

Phos squinted over the top of the bush they hid behind, taking in the visual details of anyone who passed by.

"They look similar, but... hmmm... somehow, they’re kinda scary..."

The green gem was pretty sure that the other residents of the city were a different species from them, somehow.  But as far as Phos was taught, there were only three species of beings that could walk and talk like them, and these randos passing by didn't seem to be gems, fish people, or weird creepy Lunarians.  Those were all three species, so something wasn't mathematically adding up here.  Not to mention that Phos couldn’t even be sure if this was just one species or multiple that they were looking at since everyone looked so, well, unique.

“Uhhh... I don’t get it...”

They were so caught up in their thoughts that they paid no mind to the questionable nature of them squatting like a frog to spy on people from behind the bush.

066. Does your character prefer city life or being out in nature?

jeanne is easily amazed by ANYTHING new, and whereas nature typically remains the same, cities are constantly changing, and she finds something dazzling in them every time she ventures out for sightseeings sake. she’s more USED to nature and its sights compared to cities as well, so she much prefers city life to it, where she can always expect to see  or experience something she never has before.

075. Is your character ticklish?

as loath as she is to admit it, yes. it greatly flusters her and she would much prefer not being tickled, even if it’s fun. her strength far surpasses most, and while she DOES know how to control it, she doesn’t know what she’ll do or if she’ll break anything while she’s being tickled.

080. How easy is it for others to read your character’s emotions?

generally, it’s easy to tell how jeanne is feeling based on her over the top reactions and tendency to say exactly what’s on her mind when she isn’t thinking clearly. for those who can pick up on subtle changes in someone’s expression, or spot the discrepancies in their words, it’s equally as easy to pick up on how jeanne is feeling even if she’s trying her hardest not to let you.

091. What type of music does your character like?

classical music is a given considering the era she’s from, however, if we were to get technical, slow songs are her favorite. ones she can relax to, as opposed to the quicker ones that play during events such as masques where you’re required to dance quickly. she prefers music that you can sway leisurely to instead.

“W-well, I’m already remembered as Hijikata Toshizou’s beloved blade…”

Trailing off, Izuminokami shrugged his shoulders, looking somewhat bewildered. That was the reason he’d be born, after all. To carry on the legend of Hijkata and the Shinsengumi long after their bodies had returned to the dust and time marched on towards a new era. To sit in the museum in Hino as a testament to his former master’s strength.

That was why he existed. Simply to be a companion sword to Horikawa Kunihiro and the representation of his master’s will.

Her expression was pensive. Of course, this was a common state for the young woman. How rare was it for her to leave her own head space? It was an impossibility, more than likely. Who was she, if she was not thinking several steps ahead? An unnecessary question, with an equally an unnecessary answer. Kyouko had no time to dwell upon insignificant manners. “I’m not lost,” she responded, her gaze shifting toward the other girl, “Do I look lost?”
