As ridiculous as Coppelia is as a whole I always forget how beautiful the music is in it's own right.

I went en pointe for the first time today!!!

It was so awesome and a little painful at the same time. I was originally supposed to be in jazz tonight but since it's the summer, attendance isn't great and I was the only one who showed up to class. My looked at me and asked if I had my pointe shoes since I'm scheduled to start pointe privates next week. I said yes and she said okay and got her shes out and that's what we did for 45 minutes.

We did lots of barre work and I even got off the barre once to beret across the floor. My teacher told me that she doesn't normally allow girls off the barre first time but she said I was strong enough. By the time we stopped I had two identical blisters on my fourth toe on each foot.

I've wanted to do this for so long...I absolutely cannot wait for next week.
