News from us, tell your friends, pick something and come along, don’t be bored with nothing to do this year. Kick Start programme: We have a new course starting in March and we are taking sign up's from young people aged 16 to 18 years of age. Traineeships: We are offering an eight week traineeship for 16 to 25 year olds. They need to commit to an eight week programme of on the job training and one day of college type lessons (but not held at a college) learning about a career or job that they are interested in. New projects: We have a number of new community projects starting up in the next quarter which I can let people know about in the next meeting. Children and Young Peoples Partnership Somerset (CHYPPS): We will be hosting this project at our Glastonbury office over the next year. If there are any community or volunteering groups with the element of young people in their mix, then this project is there to help and support them, regardless of size.The contact details at the moment can be reached through our phone number 01458 836130 or email on [email protected], until the phones and email are sorted out. Diary of events: We are offering up an exciting year of volunteering opportunities for young volunteers aged 16 to 25. From helping on the finishing crew at the Bath Half marathon, stewarding at Home Farm festival and go-fers at the International Triathlon Ironman competition in the summer (plus a lot more that I cannot get on to the page).
