Alabama freshman RHP Dylan Smith out of Stafford, Texas, was the first Stafford High School baseball player to be drafted out of high school and the highest draft pick among SHS grads. But the 18th round 2018 MLB draft pick by the San Diego Padres, opted to attend Alabama instead. Rates as the #25 RHP in the state and the #46 overall player in Texas by Perfect Game USA, he was also a two-sport athlete who competed in football all four years of high school as well.
