Bambi forecast
@insoucicnce { Asahi } | Bambi;
Bambi was hardly paying any mind to those that were watching him while he ate. Silver oculars trained entirely on one(1) rather adorable human being that seemed intent on making sure he wasn’t eating by himself. Not that the deer was complaining any, he enjoyed spending time with Asahi. Still, that wouldn’t stop him from being curious about why the other was staring at him while he ate. Cocking a brow, he turned his head fully to look at the other with curiosity. Was it his teeth? Takoyaki hanging from sharp jowls, he propped his unoccupied hand up on his jaw thought for a moment before simply speaking around the food in his maw. (Manners who?) “Y’ spooked by m’ teeth ‘r somethin’, Asahi? I ain’ gonna eat y’. No de la manera que pensaria de totes maneres.”
That last part, he intentionally made sure to speak it in his native tongue so the other would be unaware. Though perhaps that smirk would give him away nonetheless.

@tanukihost | Bambi ;; { Something that shouldn’t have been seen }
There was always some reason or another for him to be in an area that wasn’t home. Either he was working or he was trying to relax. Originally it had been the latter, he’d never intended to do a job that was so far out of the usual coordinates-- but he had been doing this for so long he only stopped to question it briefly. In this world there were things, people, that no one should ever cross paths with. There lurked monstrosities in the guise of humans and otherworldly creatures. These people were monstrosities not in face but in action, truly deplorable things that did things no one should ever be aware of or suffer through. It was his job to get rid of them. To clean things up where the regular authority couldn’t and make the worlds more hospitable to the people who would otherwise suffer at their hands. In a way it pissed him off even more that this person lurked here purely because he’d become familiar with someone who existed in this place.
To know someone and know that there was another who threatened the livelihood of that person in any way-- there was no denying that it was unsettling. So he conducted his research, found out information on the target that would be relevant in taking him down and otherwise ensuring that he would no longer be a problem to the area. A person going missing was a coincidence, people going missing steadily was not and so he followed that trail until he ended up here. He was quite different when he was on the job. His features devoid of expression even to those cold silver hues, his jaw taut and his body more lax to allow for swifter movement. He kept his strife specibus out and idly looked over his weaponry. An assortment of blades and guns lined the deck and he assessed which would be the best for a residential area.
No civilian involvement was one of the highest priorities. Not because he couldn’t risk being seen but rather because he wouldn’t risk the lives of anyone else. He’d done the work, figured out what was going on and where, figured out how many had gone missing and where he’d be able to find them. His resources were vast and not lacking so it made it easier on him to get set up. Now he was only waiting on the time this bastard would make his appearance. Anyone with half a mind would change location and time between committing a crime but some got stuck in routine and habit when they were too absorbed in what they were doing. Luckily for Bambi, this was going to be one of the easier ones-- or so he thought. It would have been easy, would have been the easiest thing in the world after having taken out the guards that were hired to protect the monstrosity.
However, life just never seemed to want to cut him a break. He’d chosen a blade since it was close quarters and easier to take someone out in silence with so not to spook the locals but in the midst of bringing that blade down onto the throat of one of those men-- he saw a familiar pair of wide brown eyes followed by protesting words. “Haruhi! Stay back!” She wouldn’t know what he was doing, wouldn’t understand why he was doing it, she didn’t know anything about him for the most part. He’d kept her blissfully unaware of his occupation because that was part of his job in general. Never let civilians know what truly exists in the world around them. His heart feels as though its going to stop in that single instance and if he wouldn’t have seen him move through the corner of his eyes, he would have perhaps regretted it for the rest of his life.
His body moved without thought, his mind went blank and he moved as though he’d missed slides of animation just to get to this girl who’d charmed him in seconds to want to protect her from the get go. He’d shown it on his face, the fact that he was startled in an instant and the fact that she’d called his name out-- it’d immediately put her at risk. In that moment, she was not a person. She was that monster’s way out because she was Bambi’s weakness and his opening. It was his fault. His arms came around the smaller frame and he turned just enough to avoid anything from happening to her even as the opposing blade came down and thrust through his shoulder. Sharp jowls tighten and a strangled noise of sorts hardly leaves his throat as any indication for it but he can’t pause to even pull it out. He has to get her out of here, has to keep her safe. This isn’t the first time he’s had to fight while protecting someone else’s life but that doesn’t make it any easier.
Its like a quick flip between the switches. That expression of sorrow and pain suddenly turns to something far more frightening. There’s nothing but cold and unwaivering ire in those mercury eyes as his anger rises towards the situation and he turns to lash out with one hand. It’d be easier if he had both available but he couldn’t let her be exposed so he makes due, bringing his own blade across the other’s torso as quickly and as fiercely as he could. A counter strike and he clenches his jaw even tighter at the pain that flares in his side from it. Its a whirlwind of trying to keep that gap and trying to defend while striking but finally Bambi gets the killing blow in, his blade being left behind in the man’s throat as his opposing hand carefully cradles the back of Haruhi’s head to keep her against him and from seeing it all.
His breathing is uneven, frame haggard and bruised, the blade in his shoulder had only twisted further with his movement but he didn’t think it would be anything dire for him. He’s suffered worse on worse jobs. Except now-- now he had to deal with the fallout. His heart beat furiously in its ivory cage in realization that she knew now. Had seen far more than she ever had. “Haruhi,” her name falls from sharp jowls and there’s a look of absolute sorrow that crosses his face. “.. ‘re y’ okay? Y’ didn’ get hurt right? No wounds? No bumps?” Says the man with a knife in his back, but it mattered little to him. He could deal with the rest of it later. Her safety and well being was his priority at the moment. There was nothing more important than her right now.
@tanukihost | Bambi ;;
This was so mundane it was unreal. Bambi wasn’t exactly the type to go out for no reason at all really. On his list of things to do today though, he wasn’t very busy at all and figured he might as well occupy his time somehow. He didn’t have any jobs to get to right away and he wouldn’t go gallivanting off on one until his ridiculous rabbit called for him, so he’d opted to go out and do this thing called ‘socializing’ in a manner of speaking. (If he could ever call his way of speech being social in any light.) It was just getting boring to stay cooped up in the complex. However, his thoughts are scrambled in an instant and silver hues shift downwards when he felt something, or rather someone, run into him.
“Què dimonis?“ The native tongue fell from his lips almost immediately when he felt the short impact, hands reaching out to steady the far smaller frame. He couldn’t see anything but a mop of brown hair from this angle so he carefully kept his hand on the other’s shoulder as he stepped back to get a better look as he cocked a brow. “Yo, y’ alright? Ain’t like I usually give a shit but pile drivin’ nose first int’a a guy that can cearly be seen a mile away is hard t’ disregard. Y’ feelin’ alright there?” Leave it to Bambi to make even concern seem like a dick move.

“Where th’ fuck did I land this time?” Muttered words left the man as he took a look around upon arrival. The fresh smell of ozone permeated the air but somehow didn’t overtake the floral scents that surrounded him, leaving him to wonder why it was so abundant around here. Admittedly, Bambi wasn’t exactly being precise with how he entered his coordinates but it was his day off. He was allowed to be a reckless little shit and put himself in vague situations without needing to worry about the lash back from the family. Truthfully, he enjoyed world hopping. It was a chance to discover new and solitary places where he could relax in. All he had to do was find them, make a note on his band and then go back whenever he liked. So long as he followed the rules of non-interference in this universe’s timeline beyond necessary then it was all good.
However, the more he looked around the more it seemed like even he would fit in here style wise. It all seemed very rural and untouched by intrusive and destructive little fingers of mankind. “Perfect,” he breathed out the word, taking a moment to uncoil his spine and simply enjoy the sounds produced by the area around him. That is, until he heard the distinct sound of footfall. Silver hues narrowed immediately and he cursed whatever local decided it’d be a good idea to come prancing about now of all times, grumbling about a lack of peace as he settled his gaze towards where the sound was approaching. Only.. He didn’t sneer or try insult on sight like he normally did. That. Was a fucking Elf. An Elf. Granted, he’s seen some shit in his day but Elves were not a thing he’d come across.
Why? Because he was normally dealing with aliens, carapacians, trolls and stupid heroes. This was some shit straight out of that obscure fantasy novel. However, he did need to be mindful of the fact that he obviously stood out now and was tempted to reach for his strife specibus only-- this guy seemed.. Soft? Perhaps not entirely but he definitely didn’t give off a vibe of someone who’d just pull a weapon and cut someone’s throat without a reason. He stood there for a moment, simply observing the other in silent curiosity and awe before he finally piped up. “Uh.. S’up dude.. Didn’t meant t’ intrude on y’ space ‘r anythin’. Was just lookin’ ‘round o’er here an’.. What th’ fuck why am I bein’ so awkward?” Alright. That. Did not go as planned but he wasn’t really one to know when to call it quits, was he?
He waved a hand, thumbing over his jaw for a minute as he tried to recollect his thoughts. “Fuck. Okay uh, lemme start o’er. ‘m Bambi. I was jus’ lookin’ f’er a place t’ chill f’er a bit an’ wound up ‘ere. If ‘m in y’ way I’ll take a hike.” Better? Somewhat. Still not exactly ideal and resulted in grumbled words,“Quina merda està malament amb mi?”
