“I’m tired!” says Padi-rii, who learned how to make bamboo sticky rice from her mother. I she says she’s too old to get another job. First she soaks the rice for about 3 hours. Then she shaves coconuts out and squeezes the coconut milk from the flesh. She’ll mix that together with sugar and a bit of salt then add it to the rice. The mixture gets pressed into the ends of a bamboo shoot and cooked over a fire until ready. “When you get back to your country and aren’t sure how what to do, call me and I’ll help you.” #bamboostickyrice #desert #food #foodie #Battambang #Cambodia #RainySeason #Travel #HumanStories #StreetPhotography #MakePortraits #Street #TravelPhotography #Instagood #PicOfTheDay #Life #neverstopexploring https://www.instagram.com/p/B278uPchwJ7/?igshid=i3xrnhalctb0

He has a tattoo on his chest that protected him from being shot when he was a child and soldier during the Khmer Rouge times. #sacredtattoo #BambooStickyRice #Battambang #Cambodia #RainySeason #Travel #HumanStories #StreetPhotography #MakePortraits #Street #TravelPhotography #Instagood #PicOfTheDay #Life #neverstopexploring (at Battambang) https://www.instagram.com/p/B26mXWQh4aR/?igshid=t69y7co90o65
Traditional Taiwan food ¥Bamboo Glutinous Rice Pudding ¥Four-herbal Soup The rice taste is ok for me , but they put too much sauce in it . And the flavor is more sweeter than other countries in Taiwan. The soup is a little bit of different with other vendor or restaurants. In traditional ways we put four different herbal in the soup ( Chinese Yam , Lotus seed , Gorgon Fruit , Poria ) Maybe you can called it as Four Tonics Soup . I think it’s ok . #tainan #traditionalfood #localfood #tainanstyle #bamboostickyrice #glutinousricepudding #fourherbalsoup #fourtonicsoup (在 石精臼蔡家米糕) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bq6Ai8-hOjt/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=x9v4d2e99c78
