I just tracked down my TVD books! I'm so excited for this book club thing that I braved dust bunnies, spiders, and God knows what else could be creeping in my basement, LOL. Anywho, it's such an awesome idea and you totally got me pumped for it ;)

Why I'm with you: Given how Bonnie has been abandoned by or neglected by or has just plain lost all the major family figures in her life, the idea of Bonnie building a family of her own someday and having a chance to see how rewarding that kind of a bond can be, and how real love (both romantic and familial) isn't one-sided in terms of give-and-take... these are all things I want.

Also, this is a thing Damon said:

[Damon turns around and starts walking away.]

Elena: Take the cure with me. [Damon stops] That's how much I know this is real. That's how certain I am that I'm going to love you even after this is all over. Take the cure. Be human with me. We can be together. Grow old together. This doesn't have to be hard anymore.

Damon: [still facing away from her] That's not me, Elena. That's Stefan. You know, I used to miss being human. Now I can't think of anything more miserable on Earth.

[Damon walks away. Elena is clearly upset.]

Now there are few things in the world that I love more than the narrative making Damon eat his own words. And I still believe that the confession he made in 2x12 is how he really feels. That he misses being human, he misses the potential of living a human life. I think he was lying to Elena because he was already upset, and because he was looking for reasons why Elena wasn't going to love him anymore after she took the cure and the sire bond wore off. So to hear her spout the same "grow old together" stuff that he knows she would have previously associated with Stefan... he rejected it, no matter what his real feelings were.

I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THEY TOTALLY RETCONNED THAT SCENE FROM 2X12 I REFUSE DO YOU HEAR MEEE

Why I'm resisting: First off, I have been waiting for a Bamon romance for so long that I want it to develop FULLY into that first, before going all "Married with Children" on us right away lmao

Also, I just don't know that they could pull off a Bamon babies storyline in a way that I wouldn't be bothered by. First of all, they'd have to come up with a way for Bonnie to get pregnant via vampire that wasn't completely contrived. Then they'd have to let Bonnie experience pregnancy and motherhood in a way that's real and meaningful, not just a plot device: basically, I worry that they would steal those experiences from her for the sake of cheaply adding angst to the storyline.

So far the only Bamon baby theory that I'm hypothetically on board with is the idea that said baby(ies) are from a distant(ish) future where Bonnie and Damon have been in an established relationship and raised her/him/them... and now they've time traveled to save their parents.

Would they all be talking about it if it were real tho? I mean that would be a major reveal, lol. But then I guess it's wild enough that they might feel like no one will take them seriously anyway.

I'd be really surprised if Kai is related to Bamon... I wouldn't expect them to go there with Sarah either, but then she dropped that whole "Can I just live [at the boardinghouse] forever and whoever lives here can be my dad?"

I'd say it makes you wonder whether or not the writers are tracking our wildest speculation in the tags, but this episode would have been written before these theories started, so I have no idea, lol.

Soo im feeling that sara came from.the future to help damon save bonnie aka her mom since shes said her mom was dead... since ya know synopsis of ep 6 is damon takes measures in his own hands. Sill my gut is telling me she totally came from the futur

Ohhh. You know what? I would... I would actually be on board for that? So far I've been meh about the Secret Bamon Baby theories, but I like the idea of Bonnie having a family and that family doing whatever it takes to save her.

Plus it would be really interesting to see Bonnie and Damon have this growing connection, and them starting to understand their own feelings, only to be faced with proof of what's to come for them.

Bamon baby from the future! And that would mean that they still get to have their progress and develop their relationship on their own time, and not have it be a "boom! ur magic-pregnant" type thing, which is what I was afraid of. Also that would mean that Bonnie got to raise her own daughter, which is the other thing I don't like about the theories so far, where Bonnie essentially gets magically pregnant and then doesn't get to see her kid again until they meet up again in present time and they're like... the same age.

Yeah I like Time Travel Bamon Baby from the Future much better. I don't know that they'd go there (also that would make the Jeremy hookup even weirder lol), but the concept is cool!

Questions I need answers to IMMEDIATELY!!!

Does Bonnie live with Damon or do they just eat meals together?

If not where does Bonnie live?

Where is she getting her clothes from?

If it's a ghost town who is stocking groceries?

Does Damon still need to blood to survive?

If so where does he get the blood from and when does he drink it?

If they are stuck in the 90's why would they choose to stay in the same place, I would totally like go on a cross country road trip.

Now on to the more serious questions.

What activities do they do, during the day?

If Bonnie does live with him, are they sleeping in the same room?

Have they ever fallen asleep in each other's arms accidentally?

Has Damon ever caught Bonnie in her towel or in her underwear and vice versa?

Do they have deep conversations while Damon drinks bourbon in front of the fireplace?

If one decides not to talk to the other, do they both silently go crazy yearning each other's company?

When Bonnie's frustrated at Damon does she talk to Cuddles about it?

Has Damon ever secretly been jealous of Cuddles?

Does Damon sometimes hear Bonnie cry at night and wishes he could console her but doesn't know how?

Has Damon ever taken the grimiore from Bonnie and asked her to help him with something, because he sees that she's over exhausting herself?

Does Bonnie secretly hate herself for not being able to practice magic?

Do they take out time each day to watch the eclipse, together?

Has Damon ever carried Bonnie to bed?

Has Bonnie ever thrown a blanket on Damon when he falls asleep on the couch?

When they see each other smile every now and then does it bring them joy?

When they go grocery shopping do they fight over what they want for dinner?

Does Damon treat Bonnie like a queen when he knows she's on her period?

Do they sometimes go to the park and swing on the swings?

Have they developed love for each other, but have yet to realize?

Do they get sexual urges?

And if so have they ever brought them up in conversation? (Because if you expect me to believe that Damon is on board for an eternity without sex you're bullshitting me)

Have they ever gotten drunk together and jammed out to TLC together?

Have they ever had a dance off?

Has Damon ever commented on how short, Bonnie's shorts are or how he knows she has no bra on?

Has Bonnie ever told Damon that she likes him in plaid or blue?

Do they get dressed up and have a night out in the ghost town?

Have they ever had night mares and the other rushes to console them?

Has Damon taken up the hobby of sketching Bonnie when she isn't looking?

Do they find themselves hoping the other will invade there personal space?

Do they know that they are each other's world because they're all they have, but will never say it aloud?

Last but not least: Is Sara their child?!!!
