So here is my little au headcanon: Bonnie is the beloved daughter of a wealthy small-town family in Mystic Falls, the kind of girl everyone knows and adores. Good of soul. Good of heart. A real modern princess adored by everyone indeed. And then, as every fairytale needs a prince, here comes Damon—a modern and devilish handsome prince of today's world, from a faraway land, for all intents and purposes. Damon arrives with a hidden agenda and every intention of turning Bonnie's world upside down. After all, getting close to her was always part of the plan, but falling in love with her was not. Coming from a wealthy family had always come with its own rules, priorities, and expectations. But since his brother had been entrusted with the family's fortune, Damon’s ostentatious and bourgeois lifestyle came to an abrupt stop. "And if he didn't straighten up, start taking on some responsibility, and settle down in life, he could forget about his inheritance and position in the Salvatore family," as his dear brother so eloquently put it. And through the grapevine of rich and influential people—or better yet, through some random article in a forsaken newspaper from a faraway land about a pretty, good-hearted girl from a wealthy family doing good things for her community—a new and rather wicked plan began to form in his head. A plan on how he would reclaim his inheritance and restore his position within the Salvatore family once again. And if winning over a beautiful girl happened somewhere along the way, well… that didn't seem so bad after all.

Notes: Anyway, this is just a silly headcanon that crossed my mind. I thought it would be cute to imagine Bonnie and Damon in one of those modern fairytale scenarios...💞✨ Because, well, I just wanted an AU where Bonnie was THAT girl, you know? 💁🏽‍♀️ The beloved, princess-like girl adored by everyone around her—loved by both of her living parents, her family, her neighbors, and her entire town simply because she WAS THAT girl! 🥹❤️‍🩹

And the only real "problem" in her life would be a notorious womanizer who came to court her for all the wrong reasons... only to end up falling irrevocably in love with her. 😩👉🏽👈🏽💗💞

Well, anyways, things always looks so much better in your head, you know? 😅🤷🏽‍♀️
