Hi guys, this I my first one shot I've written about bamon, after watching the new episode of the vampire diaries I had to many fees and had to get them out somehow so I wrote a one-shot of how I think getting bonnie back should go By the way the ascendant wasn't destroyed by kigh ( I don't know how to spell his name ) anyway I hope you like it He was sitting on the dry dirt and grass in front of Bonnie Bennett grave, the gang had graves made just in case there was no hope of getting them back and so everyone can remember them by it if they ever did loose hope. Damon goes there every single night and he has been doing since they tried to get bonnie out last full moon but failed, he's been going for 30 days and tomorrow on the 31st Day it will be full again and damon can try to get bonnie back. he sat there one night drinking a bottle of bourbon, nobody knows he's there because it's middle of the night, what he doesn't know is that after returning from 1994 with Elena, elena has been visiting her parents grave every night but on that particular night when no one was around she saw Damon sitting on Bonnies grave she stopped and stared and used her vampire hearing to hear what he was saying. "were gonna come back to you tomorrow I promise I don't care if kigh is still out there, we're gonna bring you back Bonnie and I promise you that we will." Elena heard him say Elena was about to leave but a twig snapped beneath her feet, Damon turned around and saw elena standing there he immediately stood up. "what are you doing" Elena asks looking at Damon, but he was avoiding eye contact and looking down at the bottle of bourbon in his hands "just visiting Bonnies grave." "why." "Because this grave is the only thing keeping me connected to her." "why do you wanna be connected to her when you've never wanted to be connected to her before." Elena asks raising her eyebrow and mentally smirking This is when he finally looks her in the eyes, he says in a intoxicated voice "I've fallen for her I don't know how, but those four months we spent together we're the best four months I've had in awhile, I just can't get her out of my head and I'm. It gonna stop till we get her back." Elena stands there in shock not expecting the answer Damon came out with, the revelation of Damon actually admitting feelings for Bonnie when everyone thinks they can't stand each other Damon walks up to her and says "Promise me we'll get her back tomorrow, look me in the eyes and promise me now." "I promise." Elena said without hesitation Damon smiles and walked back to Bonnies grave and sits down taking a swig of his bourbon The next day Damon goes to graveyard with liv but elena isn't there because caroline Is keeping her help up. Damon realises that he will have to get Bonnie back alone but smiles anyway at the thought of seeing Bonnie again Liv tells him what to do for the second time and does the spell.when Damon finally reaches 1994 he looks all over mystic falls to find her and realises there is only one place she can be, at the boarding house. He goes to the baiting house and Finds her in his room, lying in his bed cuddled up to his quilt. He smiles before saying "hey." Bonnie instantly sat up in the bed and the smile on her face could have bigger than the sun. Bonnie immediately gets out of the bed and runs to Damon and Damon picks her up and twirls her around in a hug, when he puts her back down he doesn't let go and neither does she. Bonnie, with tears of joy streaming down her face whispers in damon's ear "You came back for me." Damon pulls away and stared into her eyes lovingly "I'll always come back for you, no matter what." He placed his hands on either aside of her face and gently placed a kiss to her lips, at first Bonnie was shocked at Damon but eventually kissed him back making the kiss more passionate. This was the moment when they both new they loved one another. When they finally returners home from 1994 to thre real world. He takes Bonnie back to elena and hers dorm room at whitmoore college to rest her in her bed. After he placed her in her bed and pulls the coves over her, he kisses her forehead , he Removes his lips from her forehead and goes to sit in the chair next to the bed to keep her safe when she grabs his hand and asks him to stay with her and he says "anything" Bonnie scoots over and Damon gets in with her pulling the cover over both of them, Bonnie without hesitation rests her head on Demons chest after a minute or two he says into her ear "I'm glad I've got you back, I'm glad you're back home and to be honest I don't know how I could live without you." Bonnie moves her head so she can look into his eyes and whispers back "i'm glad I'm home too, mostly because I'm back home with you."

Christmas Through Your Eyes One-Shot

Everyone is speculating the Bamon reunion so here is mine:

He was sprawled out on the dry grass, his head nestled on a pile of dirt. His only company being his sole bottle of bourbon, and the countless tombstones that surrounded him. He pursed his lips against the entrance of the bottle, and took a long hard swallow. You need a certain type of expertise to drink while laying down and he clearly possessed it. He was staring at the night sky, which happened to be littered with stars. Each one shined brighter than the other against the haze of the small clouds forming. It wasn't fair how the world could be so beautiful and yet so cruel all at the same time. He drained his bottle and let it roll out of his hand, without taking his eyes off the brilliant night sky. When he saw one snowflake fall. His opulent vision allowed him to see the beautiful unique pattern it held as it landed in his long black lashes. It rarely ever snowed in Mystic Falls but of course today of all days it would. Because the world was set on showcasing it's miraculous beauty to spite him. More snowflakes continued to cascade down on to the earth and as much as he had tried to avoid it, he couldn't help but be be reminded that it was Christmas Eve. Well by this time it was already Christmas and he knew that Stefan, Elena, Alaric, and the whole gang were all probably snuggled up in bed their heads full of dreams of the jolly holiday that entails. But not him he felt no shred of excitement for the holiday, because there was nothing he could get or give that would make him feel any better on this wretched holiday of cheer. Everyone knew what he wanted, he wanted his annoying best friend back and no one could give him that gift. So you could see why he was especially bitter tonight. He had no plans of attending the celebratory plans in the morning for he was done pretending that everything was OK. He had failed his annoying best friend by leaving her stranded alone, so it was only fair of him to spend his time alone as well. He had searched numerous ways to get her back but they needed the ascendant and the only one left was very well hidden by a certain sociopath that left havoc in his wake. He had  thought a million times how he should have met her halfway but he was to stupid being distracted by Elena's inquires. And now that he thinks about it his attempt at a rescue mission wasn't much of a mission at all because she had to do all the rescuing herself, as usual. She hot-wired a car like he had taught her too, she had drove cross country in record time, she was the one who had all the hope in the world, and ultimately he stole that all away from her. Because he knew in his soul, if he had one, that after what he had done she had lost all hope, the one thing that kept her going. How could she not when he had teased her with the thought of returning home. He had taken away the one thing that kept her going, he had stolen her hope.

In that moment he had hated himself more than he had ever hated himself before. He didn't deserve her sacrifice, he didn't deserve to be alive. She did. She deserved everything and more.

"The world is unfair to the good." He spoke to the bodies buried under 6 feet of dirt and inhaled sharply. Taking in the crisp air he did not need, and a whiff of something else. The scent was that of cinnamon and charred wood, it was rare but he could recognize that scent anywhere. He lifted himself of the ground, his back tensing in the warmth of his leather jacket. When he heard the sound of an all to familiar heartbeat. It couldn't be possible. He was on his feet now as he could hear the heartbeat sing his favorite song to his ears. He sped as fast as his boots could take him to the site of that song. Then he saw her and the world stopped spinning. There she stood clad in his ancient leather jacket and her beloved Dr. Martens. Her breathes were sharp as she tried to accustom herself to the different climate. She had yet to see him as she was lost and searching for her way home.

"Bonnie?" He asked with the hope this wasn't a dream. Her head spun around at the sound of his voice causing the little mat of snow on her brunette hair to sprinkle off.

"Damon?" At the sound of her voice he knew this moment was real. the impossible had become possible. Her eyes held bewilderment, joy, and something else Damon did not take the time to register as he ran towards her and practically lifted her off the ground as his arms enveloped her. He loosened up his hug aware that he might crush her fragile bones. But there was something wrong, she wasn't hugging him back. He painfully let go and gazed into her emerald eyes, the bewilderment and joy from before gone and replaced with a sad anger. His lips broke apart to speak but she cut him off, as she punched him in the chest. Physically her small fist did not hurt him but emotionally it took a large toll on him.

"You left me there!" She continued to bang both her fists against him.

"You told me I was going home, and you left me there!" Tears had begun to form in her eyes, as Damon's eyebrows furrowed in sadness and guilt.

"Bonnie it wasn't my choice." He whispered.

"No it never is!" She was always the after thought, the girl no one ever really cared to save. Damon stayed silent as he recalled the time she had told him, that there is always a choice.

"I guarantee you that if I were Elena or Caroline that I would have been everyone's top priority!" Her punches full of rage now as they beat against Damon's hollow chest with the dissatisfying truth.

"You were, no you are my top priority!" Damon yelled with the fullest amount of sincerity as he stared down at her. And finally she stared back into his transparent blue eyes and then the punches stopped.

"I was alone Damon." She couldn't help it anymore as the tears slid down her face. Damon felt his heart unravel as water gathered in his own eyes.

"I know, and I am so sorry." He choked out as he wiped the tears off of her skin. Then she couldn't help it anymore as much as she wanted to hate him she couldn't and her arms wrapped around his neck. And although he was cold she had never felt more warmth. Damon held on to her with the intention of never letting go, as she sobbed into his shoulder. He let his hand run through her short hair to soothe her.

"There is no one I rather be with right now." As Bonnie spoke her truth. And a smile so wide broke across his face, as he felt his heart grow three sizes. He kissed her forehead and whispered into her ear, "There is no one I rather be with right now, either." Bonnie slowly looked back up at him in disbelief, but his smile confirmed his sincerity and Bonnie's radiant smile stared back at Damon's. And in that moment everything was right, Damon could finally enjoy this fine Christmas Day because the world, oh this beautiful, cruel world had just gave him the most beautiful gift the world could offer, and that gift was Bonnie.

Separation (Bamon Oneshot)

A/N: I'm really interested in the possible parallels that can be made between Damon's reaction to Bonnie not making it back with him and finding out that Katherine wasn't in the tomb. This interest inspired a short little blurb. Enjoy!

"NO!" His voice echoes through the trees, fading slowly until only silence remains. His arm is outstretched, reaching, his sharp blue eyes burning a hole into the ground where she was standing two fucking seconds ago. He doesn't move. A roar of thunder booms overhead, followed quickly by a crack of lightning that lights up the sky. Rain slowly begins to pepper the earth, fat, cold droplets pattering against gravestones, dripping down through the leaves above.  She's not here. It's raining harder now, soaking through his white t-shirt and plastering his dark hair to his forehead. He lowers his arm slowly, feeling the cold water trickle along his skin. She's not here. His fingers are trembling. She's. Not. Here. "No..." His voice barely rises over the steady thrum of the rain, hoarse and broken. "No, no, no." He takes a step forward, his legs unsteady beneath him. He tries to take another, stumbles, falls to his knees. His hands dig into the damp grass, burrowing into the earth.  "Please," he breathes, head bowed, warm water mixing with the cold streaming down his face. "Please don't leave her there." Another sharp boom of thunder shakes the ground, the only response. He tilts his head up, letting the rain pelt his bared face. "Take me instead!" He shouts, raising his arms up. "Take me!" The rain continues its merciless treatment, ravaging his face, beating him down until his skin feels raw. Still, he remains, arms outstretched, until the storm ends, the downpour settling into a light drizzle before it stops completely. His clothes cling to his skin, weighing him down. Slowly, he pulls himself to his feet, letting his arms drop back down to his sides. The desperation he's feeling begins to settle; it's still there, raw and fierce in the back of his mind, but it's no longer crippling. In its place comes an emotion he's much more familiar with: Rage. The anger burning inside him is unlike anything he has ever experienced before. He's going to find Kai, rip him into a million pieces, and bring his girl home. Fin

Strawberries (Bamon Oneshot)

A/N: My take on how Damon finds out about Bonnie's sleeping habits. Enjoy :)

The first time she spends the night is an accident. Sort of. After dinner they decide to play a quick game of Monopoly, only it ends up taking half the night because every time Bonnie comes close to winning he sneaks extra cash from the bank. By the time he finally lets her win, it's after 3am and they're both burnt out. "Ugh," she groans, flopping back onto the sofa with all the enthusiasm of a beached whale. "I don't want to move."  "Then don't." He says, almost before thinking. She cracks an eye open, watching him put the game away - the punishment for losing. "You're just gonna come crawling back in a few hours, hungry and cranky. Might as well stay." He's expecting her refusal, so when she rolls her eyes at him he shrugs it off, packing the last few pieces back into the box. She's quiet though; she doesn't spout a mile-long list about why it would be a terrible idea to sleep here, something she loves to do with all of his other suggestions. When he glances over at her, she has that look on her face - the wary, skeptical look she gets whenever she's about to agree with him.  "Which room should I take?" She asks, keeping her tone carefully nonchalant, her eyes flashing up to the ceiling to avoid looking at him.  He almost drops the board game. "There are a million," He manages to say after a moment, gesturing vaguely to the stairs behind him. "Pick one."  She manages to dig up a toothbrush from Stefan's bathroom, and he lends her a few of his baggier t-shirts so she has something to sleep in. And just like that, it becomes a somewhat regular thing. He still makes pancakes in the morning and she still sits across from him with her crossword; the only difference is some days she comes down the stairs for breakfast instead of through the front door.  So when he finds her curled up in the living room one night, fast asleep with her grandmothers' grimoire lying open in her lap and Cuddles held tightly in one hand, the thought of waking her doesn't even cross his mind. Instead, he takes the book from her lap and sets it on the coffee table next to her, close enough that she'll see it when she wakes up. Then he tugs a blanket off one of the lounge chairs and drapes it gently over her shoulders, careful not to wake her. "Damon." He freezes, his hands not quite touching her through the blanket, an odd mix of guilt and embarrassment that he doesn't understand bubbling up in his chest. He glances at her face sheepishly, expecting to see her bright eyes narrowed into slits, her plump bow mouth pulled down into a dark scowl.  But her eyes are still closed, and the corner of her lips almost appear to be pulling up into a smile.  She's talking in her sleep. This is almost too good to be true. He actually pinches himself, just to make sure he's not dreaming. His hand is halfway to his pocket when he remembers cell-phones don't exist yet, and he lets out a disappointed huff. With this on video, she would do whatever he wanted for the rest of their lives. He's trying to remember if he ever had a video camera in the 90s when she mumbles his name again, almost as a question, and her brows furrow. Blackmail temporarily forgotten, he leans closer, wanting to hear more.  "Yes, Bonnie?" He prods after a moment, and he's surprised to see the slight frown on her face disappear.  "I like your pancakes." She sighs, the words fuzzy and soft against his ears. It's oddly endearing to hear her admit it, and he can't help the small chuckle that escapes his lips.  "Is that so?" He whispers conspiratorially, crouching down so that he's level with her. It's strange, seeing her so...relaxed. She's always so tightly wound up, keeping everything close to the chest. It's rare to see her ever loosen up, much less reveal anything personal about herself. He pauses for a moment, deliberating. "What else do you like?" She opens her mouth and lets out a soft sigh, and he feels a slight tug of disappointment when she doesn't answer. Instead, she pulls the blanket closer to her, snuggling deeper into the couch. So much for that.  Well, at least he knows the truth about the pancakes now. Every time she mentions how much she hates them, he's going to remember this moment and smile.  She shifts again, her dark hair falling across her face, and without even realizing it he reaches for her. His fingers gently push her bangs back, lingering against her warm skin, tracing the strong line of her jaw... He snatches his hand back when she shifts, mumbling something low under her breath. "Strawberries." She says, and her lips quirk up ever so slightly. She makes a few more unintelligible sounds, and then her breathing slows to a calm, deep rhythm and he knows she's done for the night. He gets to his feet slowly, a wave of different emotions slowly coursing through him.  Happiness. Sadness. Loneliness. "Sweet dreams, Bennett," He whispers, unable to resist brushing his fingers lightly through her hair one more time. And then, before he forgets, he goes back to the kitchen and adds "strawberries" to the grocery list. Fin

The Birthday (Bamon Oneshot)

A/N: You guys seemed to like my earlier oneshot (YAY!) so I thought I would post another one ^^ Enjoy! And there's a little bit of an explanation at the end, so be sure to read it. :)

He takes the porch steps two at a time, holding a small box carefully in both hands. It's wrapped in rich matte fabric, black as night, with dark green ribbon tying the top off in a bow. A steady stream of easy conversation and warm laughter flows from the house; he must be the last to arrive. He can't remember the last time he was this excited about something so mundane. He can't remember the last time he was this excited about anything. And he definitely can't remember ever, in his entire life, being excited about a birthday. Birthdays suck. And not in the good way. The door opens before he has the chance to knock, and Caroline stands before him, only a tad irritated to see him. "Damon." "Barbie." He nods his head in greeting, waiting expectantly. She rolls her eyes and swings the door all the way open, ushering him inside. "Don't make me regret inviting you." She gives his box a curious glance, raising an eyebrow at him. "What's that?" He steps into the front hall, giving her the look a teacher might give one of his slower students. "It's a gift. You know, those things you bring people on their birthdays?" Caroline's eyes narrow to slits, and she opens her mouth, prepared to rip him a new one, but then she closes it again. She steels herself, taking a slow breath. "The things I do for friendship." Before he has a chance to respond to that, she's turning away from him, marching down the hallway. "Everyone else is already here. Bonnie just finished opening her other presents, and there's cake if you want some."  He follows her deeper into the house, glancing around and taking it all in. Bonnie had eventually invited him into the 1994 Bennett house, and when they'd come back to the land of the living she'd decided she trusted him enough to extend the invitation one more time. But he hasn't really had the opportunity to roam around until now. The house feels a lot different, heavier than its predecessor. Sadder, almost, like the memories and experiences of the people living in it over the years have seeped into the building’s very bones.  "Damon!" Bonnie's voice snaps him out of his reverie, and he blinks. She's kneeling in the center of the family room, a sea of torn wrapping and tissue paper surrounding her in a semi-circle. Everyone else is already there; Elena, Jeremy and Matt are crammed together on the couch, with Stefan perched precariously on one of the armrests, and Tyler and Caroline are snuggled up in a lounge chair that's definitely not made for snuggling. Still, somehow they seem to have made it work. "You came." Bonnie says, getting to her feet and hopping over the presents to stand in front of him. "I wasn't sure you would." "I always come." He smirks, waggling his eyebrows at her. There's a chorus of groans and boos from the rest of the room, and Bonnie rolls her eyes, but her lips pull up in a small smile. Her eyes fall on the box he's holding, and they widen in surprise.  "What's that?" Honestly. Is the concept of gift-giving so hard to grasp these days? "What kind of guest shows up to a birthday party without a present?" He says indignantly, holding it out to her, enjoying the spark of curiosity in her eyes far more than he should. "I just..." She holds it carefully in both hands, letting her fingers run over the smooth silk ribbon. "You didn't have to get me anything, Damon." He shrugs, waiting for her eyes to meet his before he speaks. "I wanted to." A faint tinge of pink colours her cheeks, and he can hear her pulse spike. "Well come on, Bonnie," Elena calls from her spot on the couch, spooning a piece of cake into her mouth, "open it!" Bonnie shoots him another curious glance before moving back to her spot on the floor. She trails her fingers over the wrapping paper gently, like she's trying to commit it to memory. He expects her to tear into it like she's done with the other presents, but she doesn't. She takes her time, first untying the bow, and then slowly peeling back the wrapping paper, being careful not to rip it. Damon moves silently to the free armrest, leaning against it just as she's uncovering a cardboard box. She glances over at him, her brow furrowed in confusion. "You got her a jumbo set of pancake mix?" Matt asks, reading the label on the box from his spot on the couch. Damon snorts, shaking his head. "Just open it," He says, fighting to keep his tone neutral. She gives him another curious look before pulling the lid apart. A soft gasp escapes her when she peers inside, one hand flying up to cover her mouth. She reaches inside with her free hand, gently pulling out the stuffed teddy bear she'd lost when she was nine. "Cuddles." She breathes, and he's both delighted and distraught to see tears filling her eyes. Before anyone can react, she's on her feet, moving toward him, and then she's flinging her arms around him, Cuddles gripped tightly in one hand. At first Damon isn't sure how to react; he'd expected an emotional reaction, but not anything quite like this. He just manages to keep them both from falling off the couch. "I can't believe you remembered," Bonnie whispers into his shirt, hugging him as tightly as she can. Slowly, he brings his arms around her, pulling her against him.  "It's the little things," He jokes, his lips just barely brushing against her ear. He feels her body shiver, and then she's stepping away, putting space between them. Their faces are level with him sitting and her leaning over him, and he finds his eyes drawn to her lips, rosy pink and perfectly bow shaped. He knows she's pretty, he's always seen that, but it's here, in this moment, when she's looking at him with gratitude and awe and no trace of the grudging hate that always used to float between them, that he realizes she's beautiful.  "I don't even know what to say," She laughs, pulling Cuddles up to her chest and giving the teddy bear a hearty squeeze. "'Thank you’ usually works." He shrugs his shoulders again, giving her as casual a look as he can muster. If his heart still beat, it would be pounding in his chest.  "Thank you, Damon." She says, the words full of conviction and gratitude. "Thank you so much." And then she leans forward, placing a hand against his face, and plants a soft kiss on his cheek. He can't keep the smirk off his face now, and there's a warm feeling spreading through him like wildfire. She moves away, giving him a shy smile, and then Matt is demanding to know who Cuddles is and what the deal is with pancake mix and everyone wants to hear the whole story from the beginning. Damon shifts on the armrest, getting into a more comfortable position as Bonnie launches into the tale, starting with the tragic misplacement of Cuddles one night so many years ago. Watching her like this, content and carefree with her favourite teddy bear nestled safely in her arms, he comes to a startling realization. Maybe birthdays aren't so bad after all. Fin A/N #2: So I didn't want to spoil the present, although I'm sure most of you already knew what it was, so I'm posting this at the bottom!
