Ingredients: 2 ripe bananas. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted. 1 cup granulated sugar. 2 large eggs. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup cocoa powder. 1 teaspoon baking soda. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips. 1/2 cup chopped walnuts optional.
Instructions: Set the oven temperature to 175C 350F. Oil and dust a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. Mash the ripe bananas until smooth in a mixing bowl. Add the eggs, vanilla extract, granulated sugar, and melted butter and stir until well combined. Mix the cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and all-purpose flour in a different bowl. Mixing until just combined, gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture. Add the chopped walnuts and semisweet chocolate chips if using and fold to combine. Evenly distribute the batter throughout the loaf pan after pouring it in. Bake for 60 to 65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean with just a few crumbs stuck, depending on how hot the oven is preheated. After 10 minutes of cooling in the pan, move the double chocolate banana bread to a wire rack to finish cooling. Cut and present as preferred. Savor the delicious banana bread with double chocolate!
