Ingredient
2 Raw plantain 2tsp-ginger garlic paste- salt-1tsp turmeric powder-1tsp cumin powder-1tsp red chili powder-2tsp coriander powder-1tsp pepper powder-1tsp gram flour-1tsp oil-1tsp mustard seed-1/4tsp Curry leaves
Method Take two raw green plantains, remove the skin, peel it off using a peeler. Cut sliced plantain(do not cut a too thick or too thin) and drop into a bowl of water Meanwhile, prepare masala for coating Take two teaspoons of ginger garlic paste next, add one teaspoon of salt,1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder,2 teaspoons red chili, powder 1 teaspoon cumin powder,1 tsp coriander powder, 1 teaspoon pepper powder 1 tablespoon gram flour just pour the water mix everything together. Now add plant slices into the mixture, just make sure the pieces are coated well with the mixture. Let this sit for about 30 minutes for a marinade. Take a pan, add 2 tsp oil just start placing the pieces onto the pan to shallow fry the plantain pieces. keep the flame on medium throughout. Once they fried on one side flip them over to the other side. Make sure you fry them to get a nice golden brown color. Draw out from oil and keep them aside. To the same pan add a little oil for tempering madding, a quarter teaspoon of mustard seeds two red chilies add a few curry leaves. Once the mustard seeds start splattering just add the pieces, turn off the stove and give it a quick mix. So there you go here is a simple yet spicy plantain fried.
