I am grateful to Banana Virus for asking me to customize his iconic Loic Bear for his 10th anniversary show. Upon receiving the piece, I tried to think of someway I could pay tribute to the artist without obscuring his signature polygon style. It was at that moment I decided to create a tribute piece to the artist, rather than reinterpret. Thus, I took my ghost girl character, Locket, and created it in a style that would compliment the Loic bear. Incorporating my version of BV's motto, "No Pain No Gain", I decided to call mine "No Love No Life". The pieces are meant to be displayed together, raw, and showing emotion and interaction between the two despite their exterior hard edges. Congratulations to BV on ten years of being able to express yourself freely through your art. Here's to another 10 more.
