"Quick get away at Banaue, Ifugao"
The Banaue Rice Terraces
(Filipino: Hagdan-hagdang Palayan ng Banawe) this terraces were carved into the mountains of Banaue, Ifugao, in the Philippines, by the ancestors of the indigenous people. The terraces are occasionally called the "Eighth Wonder of the World". It is commonly thought that the terraces were built with minimal equipment, largely by hand. The terraces are located approximately 1,500 metres (4,900 feet) above sea level.
We went in Ifugao year 2015 it was our first time going there with the family friend of us. We traveled 2-3 hours from Nueva Vizcaya to Ifugao, it was a great experience for me because the road before is near the cliff I enjoyed the view even it gets me paranoid but I still enjoyed it especially the rock formation. We stopped there and take pictures because it was a good spot.
This is the arch before you enter Banaue, we also stop here to take a picture. When you stop here you might see a mini park at the left side where you can rest and eat. We stayed there for 30 minutes, me and my friend play there and talk about many things. After that we continue our travel on the way to Banaue Rice Terraces.
After a long hour we finally reached the Banaue Rice terraces. It really looks different in reality than the usual picture I've seen. There is souvenir shop in here I bought necklace or they called it "dream cathcher". I enjoyed the view at the overlooking spot you can see the whole Rice Terraces. I can say that this is one of the best tourist spot here in Philippines, when you are in the top you can relax and refresh your mind.
Since we went there at the month of December the weather is good yet cold and it is not the right time to visit there because the Rice Terraces color is brown and if you want to witness the greenest of it the best month to visit Rice Terraces is month of April-May or October-November. But you can still enjoy the view and I assure you that it was the best spot even though the travel hour is a bit tiring but when you reach the Rice Terraces it will be all worth it.

When I first visited the rice terraces in and around Banaue in the Philippines, most of the terraces were disappointingly brown. Had to go back several months later when the rice was at its most verdant green. I think it was in February, but maybe the planting seasons change too. Have you visited Banaue? What month did you go and what did it look like? • • • #banaue #banauericeterraces #riceterraces #riceterrace #luzon #philippines #ifugaoprovince #travel #travelphotography (at Banaue Rice Terraces, Ifugao Province) https://www.instagram.com/p/CDsm18HBqgT/?igshid=1pf20tsgazw28
