it still drives me so crazy that they put enough thought into lilith to make her palisman a white raven (a known genetic mutation that plays out in nature like what the 'black sheep' metaphor is trying to do) but so little thought into the palisman itself that we only see him off the staff in 2 episodes, he is never remarked upon in any dialogue, or even given a name internally. like what happened here

i know people like to headcanon queer characters as fully aware of their identity right down to super specific micro-labels, i assume as a form of wish fulfillment, which is ultimately harmless and you can do whatever you want forever. but i really think of lilith as someone who didn't realize that being aroace is a thing until recently, and before that she had just internalized her lack of attraction to anyone as a few different things... different priorities from these silly childish romantics, a cold unloveable-ness that she both performed in the coven and was afraid was true about her, and like. the worst one that's haunting me right now. but in the way that a nun or priestly figure is celibate because they're "married to god" or something like that, she sees herself as more devoted to belos than the others who get distracted by their relationships.

top 10 lilith moment is when gwen was talking about eda almost getting killed by belos and lilith is like "mother, i was there too" because literally every day people both in and out of universe are forgetting when she was there too

when you think about it. the collector had way more interactions with lilith than with eda, he really only knew eda through king's stories about her and pretty much thought of her as a toy (making terra dress up as her for their games was crazy...). i feel kinda robbed of a lilith & collector dynamic, like she was also there in the past with luz, she lived in the emperor's castle for 30 years, and then she was the first to be aggressive to collector after they were freed, and apparently king convinced him offscreen to un-puppet her (only person this happened with?) only for him to puppet her again offscreen. they were both personally victims of belos. there's so much to unpack here

i don't think cishet people are like, consciously aware of how much music is literally just singing "i'm a man/woman and i'm straight". i think you have to be none of those things to have that realization

5. child wielding needle - it's funny how long shakra goes on calling her this, and the impact comes when she finally changes to calling her hornet instead

3. old one - this seems to be a term for gods/pale beings known to a few different characters and i love the "eldritch" vibe it has, it's also funny the first time you see it because you think they're just calling her old

2. pale beast - karmelita calls her this and i don't know if she KNOWS how completely, literally accurate it is but i like to think she does. it sticks in my head.

1. red maiden - you're not beating this one because it has nothing to do with her past or nature, it's tied to her journey and heroism within this game specifically
