Hello All

Welcome to my new band Tumblr. I've been writing and recording music for about a decade, singing for even longer. I have a very large project I'm working on for SiHE (pronounced Sigh-Hee) which is an acronym for Stars in Her Eyes--my one woman band. One day I may do a post on the origin of the name which has a very deep personally rooted meaning for me but for now I'm just gonna say welcome and do an announcement on some of the projects I've been working on.

Normally, in my life as an amateur musician, I have released songs one by one as singles, but I've shifted to a more professional approach. I'm thinking big picture. It started 3 years ago when I said "I'm gonna make an album" and here we are over 15 unreleased, completed songs. I've decided to release them in bursts. A big chunk of my heart belongs to theater so I've written and recorded them as a sort of musical sound track. All following the same story, they are 3 EPs, 3 acts in a rock opera full of demons, terrifying doctor clowns, queer shakesperian love triangles and tragedy, and space travel. Currently the first EP, Carnival of the Damned, is written and recorded and in the editting phase but I am also in the middle of writing the second act.

I will have a separate post as I've finally released a teaser for the 3P (#threep) as I've moved from basic (a blue snowball plugged directly into my laptop and free recording software called Audacity) to intermediate (a fancy new microphone plugged into a fancy new interface plugged into a fancy new program called Ableton). Though I love seeing where I've come from and how I've grown, you really can tell the level of quality has shifted toward the better. This shift is what is prompting the self promotion I'm going to be doing. I truly only write and play for myself, if I've been more emotional or need stress relief I'll write a song in an hour or so. But I am proud of all the hard work I put into my music. I've worked my ass off to develop the vocals I use, harmonize, and play 5 instruments. I write, record, produce,edit all on my own and that's all I've had for a decade. It's finally starting to show.
