Most of us have seen the Yellow Lipped Banded Sea Krait (Laticauda colubrina), during a dive or snorkel trip at Lumbalumba Resort - Manado They live in the sea mainly to find food. Like sea turtles, they are reptile and have to come up to the surface to breath. They can stay down a maximum of 30 minutes and it is not rare to see a Sea Krait surfacing for air. But what is not often observed is one going on land here. We are not really a beach resort, but we have some beach during low tide. And now and then we see one crawling on the beach. They do that to nest but also to digest food and drink fresh water. In fact, adult Sea Kraits spent half their time on land. So actually they are as much a sea snake as well as a land snake! #lumbalumbadivingmanado #lumbalumbaresort #bunaken #diveholiday #bandedseakrait #manado #diveresort #awayfromitall (at Lumbalumba Resort - Manado) https://www.instagram.com/p/Ckrzghevpcl/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
