AAAAAAA HE'S HERE!

I preordered the Sanei Boeki BIGMORE tyranitar plush in February, and he came way earlier than expected! He's absolutely giant, and soooo cuddly 💕 Tyranitar has been one of my favorite pokemon since I was a kid, and for a long time he had NO merch except for the 2001 PC Giant plush. And as much as I'd love that one it's like 3k so I will probably never own it. But this plush is so amazing and I'm SO glad I was able to get him!

Inktober Day 15: Favorite Pokeomen # 17, Tyranitar!

Another Pokemon that ended up lower than I expected... guess I just really like the remaining 16. Anyway, the first (and so far only) bearer of the rock/dark type combination, Tyranitar is a pokemon I have a lot of nostalgic attachment to. Back in Gold and Silver, when I caught and evolved a Larvitar, this beast became one of my powerhouses, thanks to its high stats diverse movepool (which I specifically remember consisted of Crunch, Rock Slide, Earthquake, and Surf). And as any Smogon buff will tell you, this thing has been consistently amazing in the competitive scene. Its ability, Sand Stream, summons a free sand storm which not only allows it to deal chip damage, but courtesy of its rock typing, gives it a special defense boost. Great design as well; I’m pretty sure this thing is based off of Godzilla.

Day 584 - Shadows of the Desert Colossus

Bangiras | バンギラス | Tyranitar

Mega Bangiras | メガバンギラス | Mega Tyranitar

Bangiras is the result of Yogiras eating an entire mountain's worth of rocks. It becomes a gigantic beast with a shadow living inside of it. It can whip up a sandstorm in an instant, and bring down a mountain if it feels like it. When taken over by its shadow, Bangiras' anger allows its power to reach new and scary heights.

Mega Bangiras allows its shadow within to rapidly increase its power. A constant sandstorm swirls around it at all times. The rocky constructs on its body are hollow, but tough. They are protrusions from the shadow's extended reach. In the night, the second pair of eyes within glow a pure red.
