my entry for @poketcg-art’s #poketcgunova ! i chose susumi maeya’s gorgeous full art of autumn form sawsbuck to recreate in felt and embroidery. this piece was a huge undertaking and i’m super happy w the result (^_^*)

some ramblings about this piece ! this was my first time working on a larger (roughly 14x24”) piece with felt and embroidery. i did a smaller piece a few weeks prior and found it interesting and wanted to play around with something bigger and then stumbled upon the unova poketcg redraw post :3 ! i got super excited bc unova is my favorite region due to growing up with pokemon black and white + i think the pokemon in this gen are just so awesome. this piece took around.. maybe 40+ hours ? i didn’t really keep track but it was definitely a lot of long stretches of cutting and glueing felt and embroidering details. overall very proud of the end result :>
