When exposed to the acidity of tart apples, Flapple evolves to store and utilize acid to dissolve tougher and tougher fruits. Despite apples being its favourite food, Flapple enjoys anything with a high alkalinity. It seems to like the fizzy feeling of neutralization.

Gigantamax Flapple reflects Flapple’s memories of its pre-evolution, Applin. It is a popular Gigantamax among children and the young at heart, evoking feelings of harvest nostalgia. It shares this appearance with Gigantamax Appletun for this reason.

Pawmo can emit kinetic shockwaves that reverberate at a target’s resonant frequency, which with training can be fine tuned to control muscle recruitment and nerve signaling temporarily. Some Pawmo become doctors and physiotherapists alongside humans.

Rain is perfect weather for Ducklett. The drops roll right off its body thanks to its waterproof down feathers. Ducklett is very curious so it will sometimes stray from its flock. Finding its way home is no problem by using innate magnetoreception to read magnetic fields

Swanna is a delicate looking Pokémon hiding a tough, resilient disposition. Its blending of stamina and grace is an inspiration worldwide. Swanna does not vocalize much, doing the majority of its communication through dance. Its wings are extremely strong.

Skwovet pilfers Berries from gardens, supermarkets and fields. This can provoke the ire of rival Pokémon. This is especially true for Snorlax. Skwovet will team up together to launch a heist against a Snorlax den. They hide Berries in their cheeks & tails and flee.

A Greedent’s favourite foods are those high in simple carbohydrates. Greedent has no preference for quality, so farmers will gladly give their imperfect Berries up to befriend one. In return, Greedent offers its strength. In cities they are found eyeing produce.

Tadbulb is able to generate and emit electricity by both locomotion of its tail through photovoltaic capture & ambient reception of ions in the air. When lightning strikes, they gather together to take in the ionized air. When in water, Tadbulb will cause hydrolysis.

IllusDex 0077 - 0939 ハラバリー Bellibolt

Bellibolt’s body wobbles and sways for its piezoelectric crystals suspension in cytoplasm to generate energy. The generator in its belly integrates & stores charge. Jellibolt is a new viral agar candy, using its physics as inspiration for the unique texture.

IllusDex 0075 - 0985 サケブシッポ Scream Tail

After a national emergency in Paldea was quashed by local heroes, a slew of brand new Pokémon appeared. Scream Tail seems to have ties to Jigglypuff and exhibits similar idol behaviour. Scream Tail’s music is primal and guttural thanks to its wide vocal range.

Aron group together in makeshift dens of scrap metal and ore. Aron is able to derive sustenance from organic and inorganic material. Aron enjoys alloys, but ingots of pure atomic metals are a treat. Aron also enjoys iron-rich foods like soybean roots and molasses.

Lairon hardens its metal armor according to Wolff’s Law, increasing the joules of work done by applying constant pressure from waterfalls. Lairon in urban settings like to be pressure washed. Some Pokémon Centers have car washes that Lairon can occupy.

IllusDex 0073 - 0306 ボスゴドラ Aggron

Aggron’s armor is comprised of a steel alloy with a melting point far beyond any man-made steel. Aggron sheds its armor and builds fortresses of scrap where Aron Eggs are incubated by volcanic heat. Aron eat this scrapped steel in order to gain the calories to evolve.

Mega Aggron has a different body composition than its base form. Infinity Energy triggers the rapid expression of genes for proteins involved in Aggron’s armor production in formerly low-expression tissue. The result drops the Rock Type to increase its defenses.
