This is my bench peg. Most jewellers will have a version of this, and it’s used to pierce, drill and support all the fantastic pieces of jewellery we make. It is also a place to accidentally bang your head with great force whilst picking up something you’ve dropped. Every jeweller I know will have done this (several times!) You’d thing we would have learnt from our mistakes, but no.
