I consider myself incredibly lucky as things could have taken a very bad turn. We made a trip to Bangor last week to relax and brought the camera and gear for good measure. We decided to go into a store and left everything in the Jeep. When we came out a good 45 minutes to an hour later, we were mortified to see the tailgate wide open with my photography gear and other purchases in plain sight. Much to our amazement, nothing was disturbed and everything was there... I'm normally very careful about locking the doors etc so this was a first for me, I left the back wide open! Maybe it was luck, the good nature of the people of Maine, or divine intervention, but all the same - so thankful for the outcome.
