Update!

DBKL has updated Bangsar Baru playground! Also, they've scrapped the yellow line at Jalan Telawi Lima and turned it into legal car parks, just like how I advised in this post!

Will post pictures of them weekend!

In the mean time, I will continue with pictures of bus stops at Jalan Limau Manis and around Bangsar LRT Station that are long overdue.

Discovering the Villages of Bangsar Baru

Bangsar Baru is about 4 kilometres south-west of KL’s CBD, nestled in one of KL’s trendiest areas. Our first impression was that it is a much more chilled suburban vibe than other shopping areas in KL. However come sundown its many restaurants and bars come to life and turn this “village” into to a thriving local hotspot. Shopping in Bangsar will appeal to travelshopas with all tastes and budgets.

Bangsar Village II (aka BVII) is the latest mall in the area. Being a boutique shopping centre, its primary focus is international fashion and those with discerning tastes. We did find some great local brands hidden on the upper ground floor. Alleira, Wild Flower and Desirée are perfect for a little something special. And thirtyfour.store has the most beautiful leather goods, jewellery and accessories. This is a must see!

The surrounding streets of Bangsar Village II are lined with dozens of independent fashion boutiques. If you dare look up to the first and sometime second floor, you will discover you may need to return for round two. Our pick of the crop are Jorya Weekend, Pantry Magic and blöok along Jalan Telawi Tiga, as well as, Glamz, egg and House of Doll on the streets of Jalan Telawi 2, 3 and 5.

About 1.5 kilometers up Jalan Maarof is Bangsar Shopping Centre. Being one of KL’s trendiest malls, Bangsar Shopping Centre has a lot to offer in terms of local boutique fashion. The first floor is adorned with numerous jewellery and accessory stores. The displays of Mori Pin, Suhara Jewel Art and Gemma Discoveries will get any lady in touch with her inner Audrey Hepburn. The Mod House, Oriental Links, Dani Maia, Janine and Kate’s Closet will dress the most feminine of ladies. And to finish off your new look be sure not to miss Shoeville and Shoes Shoes Shoes. While you are there check out gudang and Pasaya for something exquisite for your home or a gift.
