*bank is drive through only on saturdays. This is printed on our front door.* With out fail, every saturday *customer who has banked with us for multiple years comes to front doors. Pulls handle. Switches to other door. Continues to repeatidly pull. Decides to tap on glass. *

* coworker and I see a car pull up. We usually wait until customer sends in the tube before askng what transaction they’d like to do*

*customer sits there for a minute, doesnt send tube in and buzzes the bell*

Me: Hello, how are you?

Customer: I wanna deposit 20 dollars.

Me: Okay, send the tube in and I’ll do that for you.

*tube gets sent in, containing just $20 dollar bill. No account number card. No identification. No indication of what account to put the money into*

Me: sir, I’ll send the tube back to you. Go ahead and send in your ID please.

*customer looks appaled and acts like its such an inconvenience that I don’t magically know what account the money should be deposited into*

If your driving, why do you not have your drivers license on you? If your not doing anything fishy than why is it a problem that we need photo ids for cash deposits?
