// that’s a theme that I want to explore in Dove & Dreamer (the thread with Kyrien, Ingwë, and Columbia on the First).
// the First is not a forgiving place. Injuries, wounds, and disabilities tell of weakness, and the Light serves to remove these / replace with perfection. At best, curative magic overcompensates with the heavy Light and returns you back to health. But the things that remain and make you less whole (whether literally or figuratively) are to be concealed. That’s something that should be confronted with, because a person’s importance cannot be seated only in their physical / mental form.
// so, for the characters that suffer these career-breaking events, have them confront that inevitability. You can’t kick quite as high since your leg was broken; can’t see quite as well after your vision began to dim from a genetic predisposition; can’t calm your nerves even though the fighting from the other side of the door has stopped.
// they must continue on - with each other and with themselves
