i dunno what fandoms you’ve in common w me right now but maybe one of your fav characters is a bad dancer and their friend/significant other decides to give them lessons? Oh yes
can definitely work with that
*Some times, after a long day of all too stressful work with the systems, and the jaegers and the pilots who love to go and do their own things, no matter how dangerous, Tendo Choi just had to destress.
Tucked away in his own private room, the commanding LOCCENT officer had a habit of turning his music up from his ipod's perch in it's dock, and shuffling around his room. The music itself would jump around from quick tempos to slow, but no matter what it was, the man could easily change pace and dance along.
In the midst of a particularly slow song, his arms lifted up in mock waltzing position as he danced by himself, he'd turn about on his heel, only to be met with the softly smiling face of the older Australian pilot who had silently let himself in, only to lean against the wall and watch him. The shorter man let his arms fall then, looking over to his superior as he smiled in return.
"Ever heard of knocking, Mr. Hansen?" he'd lightly tease as his hands came to rest of his almost feminine hips. The pilot offered a one shoulder shrug and a vague gesture to the ipod dock on the desk across from him.
"Ya seemed to be enjoyin' yerself, why should I have interrupted?" And his words only solidified the thought that he'd been standing there for a bit longer than Tendo had initially thought. But, he had to admit, he didn't much mind it. His smile pulled a little wider on his lips as he offered his hand out.
"Then why not join in instead of making me dance alone?" he wiggled his thin fingers in invitation, He could see the temptation in the man's eyes, but was surprised when he spoke instead of stepping forward to meet him.
"Never been the dancin' type, Mr. Choi," he said a bit softer, a bit of a gruff tone which immediately made Tendo smirk.
"The only ones who say that they're not dancers," he said slowly as he took a few steps closer, sliding his hand down the Aussie's upper arm to where the man had them crossed on his chest, carefully easing them apart in order to take his hand. "Are the ones that think they can't dance," he said a touch softer, and by the way the other narrowed his eyes a little but said nothing, the officer knew he was correct. With a slightly more knowing smile, he tugged the larger man from against the wall and into the center of his room.
"And the only ones, who think they can't dance," he continued, letting go of the other's wrist to run his hands up along his chest, eyes trailing with them before flicking up to meet the other's gaze. "Are the ones who haven't had the right teacher,"
"That sounds like an offer," Herc almost murmured, thin eyes seeming to follow each of the smaller man's movements as he took each of his hands and led one to his waist, and draped his hand in the other. The pilot took the hint and held the man close, but waited for further instruction, not seeming all too bothered by the other having realized. He didn't have to worry about one such as Tendo Choi teasing about or laughing at the fact.
"Oh, that's not an offer," the head of LOCCENT smiled up at him as he slid his free hand up the man's shoulder and gently curled his hand along the side and back of his neck. "You're going to learn how to dance with me, ranger." he purred, a confident little smirk on his face as he fell in to softly explaining the initial steps. Herc hadn't felt so enraptured with the smaller man in hours.
