Was the house of man finally being overrun by the denizens of hell, overthrowing their mortal tyranny?! She bursted through the door as fast as she could, scrambling down the staircase with her pudgy legs to witness the otherworldly revolution. Ghosts and zombies and witches roaming the streets, banging on the doors of the houses... How apocalyptic!~
Outside, she was happy to confirm the evident: the day has finally come! Following suit, the vampiress knocked on a door of one of the houses with enough force to rattle the frame. After a second a young woman turned the handle, holding something behind her back.

The candies shone like gems in the decorative lights of jack-o-lanterns. Amelia grabbed a handful of rustling pebbles and walked away, dumbfounded. Why aren't they scared..?
The duchess' fingers unwrapped a candy and popped in her mouth. Tasty, sweet and sour, pretty too...
