I shatter and turn into a sea of bubbles carried away by the wind

I’ve had a job at my bar for like 2 months ish now? And this one guy just seemed like he hated me. Never spoke to me, wouldn’t look me in the eye or return polite smiles I do. He spoke to me once and it was to ask if I’d already clocked out because there was shit left to do

Last Saturday was my first time drinking after my shift because I’m legal now and he chatted to me. And we got along ! Really well. Mainly due to his shit jokes. We only spoke for like half an hour before I had to go home but he invited me to a party after work on Thursday ! (I didn’t go because I was tired but being invited meant the world!!)

Today him and I were the only floor staff working on our particular bar which meant he kept coming up to me and chatting about random shit. This guy went from someone I thought hated me to honestly one of my favourite people at work

Here’s just a few examples of what he did today alone:

Continuously referred to himself as Mr Muscle while lifting light things

Said “enjoy your trip” when I nearly fell

Made a competition out of who could avoid getting twerked on by drunk girls the best

Got really in character and pretended to be touched when I asked him to help me clean boke

This probably doesn’t seem big to anyone but me but he really would go out of his way to talk to me once we moved down to another bar and honestly I really love having new friends

I physically do not like going to work but can I just say that the amount of happiness I feel these days from thinking some coworker doesn’t like me to having them banter with me and make shitty jokes within a week of getting to know them? My heart feels full

YALL MY DAY AT WORK WAS SO FUNNY

basically at the bar I work at we had a Halloween club on and I was assigned to work bathrooms. Which meant of course, drunk girls in a bathroom But Dressed up!

And I’m gonna post a separate post for everything that’s happened but one girl dressed like this girl:

This girl came to the bathroom many times. A couple times her hair was falling out and she kept asking me if it was perfect when she fixed it

But the important thing is she would ALWAYS talk about women’s rights!

“We are WOMEN!! WE DESERVE RIGHTS!! And even more we are women from BELFAST!!!!!!” And that got girls going “YEEEOOOOO”

It was beautiful

But one time she went to me “fuck societal expectations of women” and i was like awww and then right before leaving she goes “and uppa ra” AND I NEAR SCREAMED WITH LAUGHTER

For anyone not knowing the Northern Ireland situation, the IRA (nickname: the ra) are a paramilitary group that would fight on behalf of the catholic community, and a lot of catholics will jokingly (or not so) say “uppa ra” (up the ra) and it is just so funny because she preached all night about women’s rights and then uppa ra :D

My work , as appreciation for me carving a pumpkin, gave me two free drinks so I got myself and my dad one and I kept joking about my dads divorce (which is normal in my family) and my coworkers seemed concerned

A coworker of mine only met me today. She didn’t know who I was or my name prior to today. Now she wants to see me steaming and taking shots because I was so weird while drunk that she’s curious. We got close quick

Me (before work): maybe I shouldn’t drink at staff drinks, idk what I’ll be like and I might embarrass myself to my coworkers

Me (drinking during staff drinks): I aspire to be a russian granny. I want to wrap myself in my shawl *uses primark scarf as shawl*. You do not need A Levels to be a russian granny. Just the russian language and grandchildren. Easily achieved. I also want diabetes
