First off, can I just say, the river totally looks real. Like REALLY REAL. OMG
During the little funeral/memorial/whatever it is for the first Truffula tree to be chopped down, when they’re all standing in a circle around it, one of the Humming Fish at the back rests its head on a rock like its hiding its tears
The Once-ler has a little plastic flamingo outside his cottage just like the one on his family’s RV
Once-ler rolls his eyes at the Lorax when he says the word “magically
When the Lorax is pulling the tent pins out, you can see little bits of dirt flying out. Again, the attention to detail in the animation is just amazing
When the Once-ler gets angry and says he’ll chop down however many trees he needs, the bar-ba-loots all get down on all fours to move away and one even jumps away behind the others. Y’know, cuz he's so intimidating (but he is, really, to them. At that point at least)
You probably already noticed this, but O’Hare’s proportions make no sense. Also the little… um… sigh…? groan…? O’Hare does after saying “I consider it a threat to my business”. I dunno. I just thought it was a cool addition
The Lerkim is on the edge of a cliff-type-thing. It used to be part of the factory. Maybe the ground under the factory fell away under the weight so the ruins of the rest of the building are probably down there somewhere
Old!Once-ler scratches his nose while he’s giving his little speech about when a guy does something stupid twice. Again, I just thought that was a cool thing to add in, makes it more realistic, y’know?
Old!Once-ler putting his finger on the board over the window instead of actually on his face in a kind of ‘thinking pose’. Just… either he’s just a dork (which he is regardless) or he’s just losing the plot in his old age. I just think it’s cute

When Once-ler’s making his first thneed, you can see the lines and fibres on it. So. Much. Detail.
Oncie looks down at his bed when he yawns
HIS FRECKLES. That is all
Lou (as he is apparently officially called, the fat bar-ba-loot) steps too close to the fireplace while the others are stealing Oncie’s bed and almost burns his butt. You can hear/see him yelp and jump
When they actually put the bed in the water, Lou is still running to catch up to everyone. You can see him coming over the hill, then he finally gets there as the others leave to save Pip
When they’re all sitting on the Truffula tree to reach Pipsqueak, you can see it bouncing under the weight and the tufts are shaking
When they reach the waterfall and Oncie starts paddling with his pillow, Pip joins in but he’s paddling the wrong way
When they land on the ground, Pip runs and hugs another bar-ba-loot, probably his mother or something

When Oncie hugs him, you can see the Lorax tense up juuussttt a little bit
The Once-ler’s expression doesn’t change when he drops the Lorax, but he looks up like he’s thinking for a split second right after
When Once-ler makes his promise, the two Humming Fish standing beside the Lorax are looking at him like “Yeeeaaaa suuuuuureeee”
When the Once-ler wakes up and sees the Lorax, it’s 10:10am according to the clock behind him
Looks like Swomee Swans sleep upside down like bats o.O
When Oncie says “and, uh, follow-up, if I may…” the Lorax is looking at the animals with a really peaceful look on his face
There are water rings on the table that the Lorax takes the toothbrush from
There are still animals clapping for the swan who just laid an egg at that point
When the Lorax calls the thneed garbage, one the Humming Fish behind him giggles at it
One Humming Fish starts chuckling when the Once-ler shoves the pile of bar-ba-loots off the table, then bursts out laughing when Lou falls off it
A baby Humming Fish grins, holds its fins up then claps when the Once-ler picks up his guitar before he leaves, and swoons a little when he strums it
When the little girl takes his guitar, the Once-ler just points at her like “Did she just…?”, flinches when she breaks it and then just stares at her
Melvin smiles when the Once-ler is hit by the first tomato, then catches the second in his mouth
There’s a sign saying “Greenville Circle” behind the line of people throwing tomatoes
When Oncie gets back to the forest and Melvin walks away from him up to the cottage, you can see Lou sitting in the chair
The little Humming Fish trying to protect his cards from the baby Swomee Swan~
When Oncie says “What are we playing?” there’s a butterfly or something fluttering around by a bush
When the ground starts shaking from the people wanting thneeds, the now-extremely-fat Humming Fish falls off the bed with a pancake in his mouth
Melvin looks kind of surprised to see all the animals follow the Once-ler out of the cottage
During Everybody Needs A Thneed, on “a fine thing that all people need”, the man in brown at the front of the crowd starts dancing like crazy for just that line
The Once-ler takes wads of $100 bills from people even though a thneed is only supposed to $3.98
When Ted drives Norma down to go shopping, she gets the marshmallows that Ted gives to Old!Once-ler
When the RV comes crashing through the forest, the bar-ba-loots sitting in the trees in the way jump off, but it looks like some didn’t jump off in time…
The Once-ler mum uses Uncle Ubb as a step -_-
As soon as he sees his mother, Once-ler immediately straightens up
Uncle Ubb starts crying when he goes “Hey, I love this guy!” and hugs Oncie
Oncie’s mum has freckles too 0.0
And she actually looks concerned when Grizelda shoves her bag at Ubb to walk up to the Lorax
Grizelda actually looks kinda sad when the Lorax goes “Dat’s a woman?!”. I think she’s had other people point out she looks man-ish and she’s a little insecure about it
Then when she catches the Lorax as he’s running to talk to the Once-ler, when he says “Excuse me, sir” she looks a little more upset than angry for a second
There’s a bandage around the neck of the Once-ler’s guitar from where the little brat broke it, and the white paint is chipped
The Once-ler’s also a magician - four times in the whole movie, he makes something appear out of nowhere. First, is the marshmallow he gives to the Lorax, then there’s two in How Bad Can I Be?. The Truffula clover he puts in his lapel and the coin he gives to Uncle Ubb, then later on when he offers Pipsqueak a marshmallow as the animals are leaving
You can see his eyes through the shades. I love his eyes. Like, seriously
On “make this ever-lovin’ world go ‘round”, the Lorax is running up the gear that Once-ler/Greed-ler is standing on
On “schloppity schlop”, one of the Humming Fish actually smiles at the glup
OMG I JUST NOTICED THIS ONE THIS VERY SECOND THIS MAKES NO SENSE ASDFGHJKL … OK, on “A portion of proceeds goes to charity”, look at the crowds of people with cameras. Who’s that standing in the bottom left, just to the right of the Once-ler/Greed-ler? Grammy Norma. No, not young Norma as she should be at that time, but old Norma. Yes. Old. Norma. Is. There.
On “All the customers are buying”, there’s a man using a thneed as a skirt
On “The money’s multiplying”, two of the Humming Fish are hugging each other close and another one is gripping a bar-ba-loot’s leg
