Ok hear me out What if Medic made his deal with the devil like this:
Traded his soul for the ability to do nothing medically plausible / something that would hurt or kill the person, but it ending up with so-so good results. I mean think about it.
Just pouring blood back into the body, putting baboon uteruses (with actual fetuses in them), having open surgery with a fully coherent patient, making their Heart explode and giving them a baboon one with an uber valve instead, shooting his teammates with a goddamn crossbow in battle.
It might be just fucky tf2 shit for giggles logic but I still stand by this headcanon
