The ocean of snow at Baralacha La pass... . . Truly deserving as the winner of today’s #DoWFeature 😊😍 . 📷 #follow 👉 @thakuraaiin ・・・ I will never ever forget this place. I knew what ‘Mighty Himalayas’ mean but this day i get to see what it is. The beautiful it looks the scarier it is. This #baralacha pass brought me back to reality that i am so tiny and equal to nothing in front of Himalayas. Everything was going well until i started towards Manali from Leh. Pang was generous. Sarchu was quite playful but still we managed. And then It all started with mild snowfall and turned unto a nightmare. Not just Baralacha, i must say ‘Mighty Baralacha’. Things were ok but then traffic jam happened. First we thought its just a jam and would not take much time. But then from one hour to 4 hours and dot dot dot. We were blocked from both sides. Full traffic Jam, Narrow roads, snow Fall and large snow walls. It was close to sunset but no hope for anything. We were struck at such a point from where going up or down was equally scary and difficult. We managed and moved ahead but then again snow fall and road blockage🤦‍♀️. Light bid good bye and we were there at baralacha pass. Low temp, full on struggle, no movement, and freezing night. This was one such night when i only hoped for life and sunlight. . . . Sharing this picture is a small attempt to spread love and smiles in the Himalayas by helping travelers and locals of the Himalayas. .
