It was at first a two-door then a four-door sports saloon. A drophead coupé version and a sports tourer version were also available. The pillarless two-door saloon body made at the Darracq Motor Engineering Company works in Acton the open tourer was made by Whittingham & Mitchel and the drophead coupé with an intermediate coupé de ville position was made by Abbott of Farnham. All models were powered by an 1185cc straight four engine The Talbot Ten was rebadged Sunbeam-Talbot Ten in August 1938, changes included pressed steel wheels but covered by wheel discs, a normal lever for the gear changes, better instruments, and slightly reshaped front mudguards The new body was on effectively the same chassis but the engine and the radiator were moved 3.5 inches forward. In 1948 the Sunbeam-Talbot Ten was almost exactly twice the price of the new Austin A40 Devon and slightly slower Diolch am 94,795,213 o olygfeydd anhygoel, mae pob un yn cael ei werthfawrogi'n fawr. The 1925 Maxwell Tourer
📍 Cumberland Heritage Village Museum ⧉
This vintage beauty is a 1925 Maxwell Tourer, photographed at the Cumberland Heritage Village Museum during their annual "Vintage Vehicle Experience". The crisp lines, tall windshield, and classic lantern-style headlights are pure 1920s design, a reminder of a time when automobiles were as much art as transportation. The period-correct 1925 Quebec license plate and the Maxwell badge on the grill help confirm it as one of the final models before the brand was fully absorbed by Chrysler.
