and i gotta know (from you or one of your anons) why is it a crime to state on ones own blog that YOU think demons or god or anything else is fictional? it's not hurting others to simply state you believe differently (in the context of an exchange of words on the internet, not re: religious warfare and such) and if it is, i honestly think that's up to the individual to deal with on a personal level... ? why make another person feel bad about not catering to a group they didn't intend to cater to

totally nothing wrong with it!! im not sure which thing were talking about but when i brought it up, i meant about hannis post saying 'youre representing this fictional thing wrong' and i felt that was a really demeaning way of looking at the situation. like the reason people are hurt is because to them they arent fictional. and its fine to not hold that belief, and to not cater to that audience. but you should respect them either way, its not necessary to turn around and poke fun at their beliefs

(also just for my own peace of mind i want to let you and the other anon know that my "who cares if it's sacrilegious" tweet was in regards to an anon stating that homosexuality is sacrilegious, and i think that's def one of those times where it's like... who cares if it is? it's inherently against christian-based beliefs, but it's like.... so????)

yeah but i mean people draw god/gods and angels etc. in all kinds of forms, people give their characters names with weight, names that describe them-- if you actually look at the text of the lesser key of solomon or other demonology books a lot of them have variations on names and features. it's not like appropriating a race of people, it's much more broad and convoluted.

and of course people will have their own ideas about appearances and behaviour etc. that they align themselves with closely, but that doesn't invalidate someone else's, either. there are so many strains of each religion with their own core ideas based on vague words that each person defines for themselves.

maan yea i can see how that might get horrifying really fast..i think theres still a better way to react to it tho. probably whoever was upset by it was aware of that too and they probably wouldve told hanni what they meant by it if the posts and reactions that followed hadnt been so scathing.

either way tho its not a lost cause if hanni still wants to review it sometime, i mean they might not even have to change anything the anon might be like 'oh its not that important it would probably be quite difficult to get around' idk i just hope theyre taking a breather rn and not letting stuff fester i hope everyones ok :---((((

i'm just sayin people have different beliefs, i am not obligated to alter my own for the sake of someone else-- obviously peoples' safety and comfort matters but if someone's safety and comfort is based on hanni completely making up some demon for their own fun then how is that stomping anyone

i dont really wanna get into the actual thing that happened because i Dont know much about it. but i think all people were concerned about was the connection between hannis oc and belial, who i think must be an important religious figure at least for some people. which is perfectly understandable!

and while it sucks to be faced with the decision of either upsetting people or changing large parts of your ocs, all the times its happened to me the only times its turned out well has been from me changing the oc. at first it felt like i was killing my babies and giving into the pressures of society or something but. its not. its all fine soon and i think changing the name to something else would not be a big deal. its not a franchise or anything and it would probably actually be good for hannis Brand to establish their own unique specific demon :----o

yea idk i guess i forget that lots of other people havent had much experience with that sortof thing, but yea it DOES feel fucked up at first but it is the right thing and its really awesome to get into all the different crowds youll find from listening to them :---D

you specifically stated that you Don't Know Much About what's being said here so i don't know what you're trying to defend. demons and religious figures are fictional to hanni, even satanism is about worshipping the self rather than idols, and religious shit has been reused and remodeled and rewritten and recycled ever since humans came up with it. so what's your beef exactly

my beaf doesnt lie within the religions themselves thats kindof irrelevant in terms of the problem here, im not actually focusing on how captainhanni is disrespecting whatever things. im just seeing them disrespect everyone who is bringing them up and being like :-----\\\\\ that is my beaf

heeyyy well if you need to stay for an extra semester, p sure ash & i will be graduating in the fall so you certainly won’t be alone, but i know how awkward and weird that can feel. tho it’s really admirable of you to be trying to do all of this!!!

Guhhh I just have a lot of family expectations on me that I'm graduating this spring and that makes me nervous. I don't mind staying an extra semester, especially if I have enough money to get myself an off-campus apartment with some friends in the area, but the whole "my family is expecting me to graduate this spring" thing is really making me nervous, especially since they're the ones helping me pay for college so much. If I can plan it out where I know I'll have a place off-campus to stay and I'll be able to just take classes in the fall and graduate, then maybe I'll be able to do it. because I'm just tuckered out ;___;

(I didn't see this part) I just don't want to be there because I won't be able to make any progress because jobs are all at least a 20-30 minute walk away and I can't drive yet and lots of transportation issues ughh
