GODDESS SHE. in the guise of a young girl, she moves unseen in the crowds. the mud sucks at her bare feet, but in a familiar way: a way that remembers that she is more than she appears. aphrael may look young, but the child goddess is far more ancient. she moves with purpose now as she always had through the millennia. intuition as much as divine wisdom moves her feet, brings her to him.

she pauses a moment, watching him work. it’s true, the steel does sing for him. as much as she dislikes the weapons, they have their uses. as will he: the boy with KING’S BLOOD.

the goddess, looking for the world like another orphan spat out by a cold and bloody world, steps up silently beside him, watching him that silent way. it’s alright, for the steel sings enough to fill the space for now.

“Gendry, isn’t it?” Alys did not pretend to hide her AMUSEMENT at the jump the younger man gave upon hearing her voice, her lips twitching in mirth. “My apologies,” She said, not very CONVINCINGLY. “The snow can hide one’s footsteps if you know how to talk on it properly. You are Gendry, though.” She met his pair of startingly blue and SULLEN eyes. His entire face and demeanour seemed to be brimming with suspicion — a look she thought too STRANGE on someone his age. “I have heard the young Lady Arya mention you... once or twice.”
