I thought I would share where I'm at with my Barbara Maitland cosplay!

I had previously bought a cute, similar enough wrap dress off of Thredup (not pictured), but it was the literal worst to wear, so I bought this polka dot dress off of Amazon. Then because the cumberbund belt panel Bothered me, I bought a second polka dot dress, so I could smash the two polka dot dresses together.

How I smashed them together was by almost completely disassembling one dress and taking the skirt off the second. I then seam ripped both skirts down opposite side seams and sewed the back panels together to make a new center back panel. I gathered the top of the new skirt, so that it would fit the new bodice. The two separate front panels were sewed to each new triangle bodice front to make it a true wrap dress once I took away the extra fabric in the bodice back as well as the 2 extra pockets. To keep the dress closed, I added snaps.

Next is to make a belt out of spare pieces of fabric from the dresses and use fabric paint markers to change those zillions of polka dots into zillions of daisies!

(Could I have saved myself the trouble by getting fabric and making this myself from scratch? Most definitely. However, trying to source fabric for this dress is almost impossible. There's so many green, daisy fabrics out there!! Also, the irony of buying 3 separate dresses for a musical where the rule of 3 is a Thing, is totally not lost on me. 😂)

Finally cosplayed the first character I liked from the game and was so proud of the output even though I sacrificed lack sleep when doing this (pls don't be like me lol 😆)

i do warn that the wig itself is a little on the smaller side (i will have to shave a bit of my hair so theres nothing peeking out), but i also have a large head, so! screen accuracy for the color is PERFECT!

Lastly is her shoes. now, i have wide feet so perhaps the issue is me and not the maker of them, and theyre working with me to correct the issue, but this is the link for where i got her shoes

tbh theyre good for walking con floor or for taking a break from fancy shoes, but i plan on getting some heels and customizing them to fit what i want for it!!
