Tribute for @barbaranestor2

This week a lot of us were saddened to hear from her daughter that @barbaranestor2 had passed away. Barbara was an amazing person: kind, and warm-hearted. Her words always resonated with hope and encouragement. She contributed much to our poetry community here and to honor her memory several of us are writing pieces as tributes to Barbara. We will be publishing them on Friday Dec 13 under the tag #for barbaranestor2 . I will be reblogging  those posts on my page @inspireamuse. If you want to participate in this tribute to Barbara make sure to tag your piece. Hopefully this will help comfort Barbara’s family and be a tribute to the life of this wonderful woman and fellow poet.

last night

we bathed in stars

feasted on a crescent moon

soulful illiminations

we passed

beyond ruminations

through your fiery gates

enroute to heaven

In a parallel universes where I'm stoned all the time and the only thing I'm allowed to do is write and have spectacular conversations with magicians Jay and children :) much love my dear one<3

Stones are pretty jaysome and having conversations with me and Honcho and Charlie is always spectaculary!

Catastrophe Ballerina

he asked for her hand

thought her grande, a delicate masterpiece

but she hesitated, for she

was scared

beautiful but consumed with fear

plagued by phobias

see, she was a merciless dancer

dancing privately

everyday in her tattered mirror

see, when she twirled

her life, it felt clearer

guess she was too old to reflect

in spellbound mirrors all her failures

and mercurial galactic memories

stomped over her

perhaps she felt, she'd

allowed him to get too near

and she wasn't ready

even though he believed differently

he thought she danced magnificently

it reminded her she’s stardust

she thought, he was blind with love

and that if asked her, she must

she only thought she was rust

she was mediocre

a catastrophe ballerina

so she became a benedictine poet

she turned to her pen

nevermore would she pirouette again

instead

she told stories from her soul

about her country, about youth

about growing old

she was once queen of speedball

and the snow disco ball in studio 54

she'd done it all

she'd smoked the floor

mollies and sex and more

but that's another story

with that she dropped her last line

put down her pen

she knew then, it was the end
