She has arrived
She’s so cute and SO weird, it’s almost like seeing an alternate universe in which 80′s-90′s Skipper had an entirely different head sculpt but was otherwise identical. And for that reason, I am naming her Skooper. Piper Skooper. Her hair is lovely saran and she has a full middle part, which I didn’t expect considering she’s essentially a cheap Kmart Skipper knockoff (except made by Mattel so not really but..kinda) lol Her body is the 80′s Skipper body which I have never owned before and I had no idea that the waist joint was so mobile! Her top closes with snaps, not sure if that’s notable but my Barbies definitely didn’t have snaps when I was a baby so that was interesting to see. Very random purchase on my part but I really love her, she reminds me of Stephanie from Full House (aka my favorite character when I was a kid) Big thanks to @dollsahoy for introducing me these weird little pieces of Mattel history!
