Every Monday this blog will feature a new tip to apply to your life to help you be a better Barbie Girl! This week’s Be a Barbie Girl Tip is Make Up that lasts forever ever!
If you're in school, work a full time job, always busy or a party barbie you know the pain of make up that doesn't last.
You apply a full face and look like a perfect 10 and then you catch a glimpse of your face half way through the day and see faded lip color, chunky lashes with mascara dots on your lids, creased eye shadow, melted face make up- You catch my drift, you look a hot mess! Here are a few tips I've used to keep my make up in place all day/night long.
Line your lips and fill them in with your lip liner before applying lipstick or gloss
When wearing lipstick; apply, blot, dust your lips with baby powder/face powder and apply a second coat of lipstick
Use a lip scrub; make up won't last as long on peeling lips
Use these layers in this order to achieve a long lasting lip; Liner, lipstick, gloss
Remove all of you eye make up before adding more on, your lashes won't look as long they'll look chunk and gross
Apply mascara to tips, let it dry, then apply at the base wiggling left and right with the wand
Waterproof is your friend; the mascara/liner won't leave dots and smear and smudge like other formulas
Apply a thin layer of cream eye shadow in a like shade/color before apply powder shadow for long lasting color that won't crease
WASH YOUR FACE - Paint looks better on a clean canvas instead of a dirty one. Wash it off every single night before bed
Less is more when it comes to foundation, you only need to wear enough to cover flaws and even skin
Blend Blend Blend - Blush and bronzers fade because they're layers sitting on top of your other make up, the closer it is to bare skin the better chance it has to last
Translucent Powder - This can be substituted for baby powder or even hair spray, this act like a seal to hold all your make up in place. It's a fine silky powder that goes over make up and keeps it in place without causing any color change.
