Once a week this blog will feature a new tip to apply to your life to help you be a better Barbie Girl! This week’s Be a Barbie Girl Tip is Easy Eye shadow Application!
This is how I do my everyday look.
Color 1 : darkest shadow (4 shades darker than skin color)
Color 2 : shimmery neutral tone eye shadow
Color 3 : lightest eye shadow (2-3 shades lighter than skin color)
Base : Helps eye shadow stay in place longer
Finishing touches: Liner, Mascara, Lashes
Apply the darkest eye shadow of the group to in a rainbow shape above the eyelid in the area called your crease. If you feel your eye socket bone beneath the skin you're in the right spot.
Apply the 2nd shimmery eye shadow to your eyelid and blend it slightly with the color above it.
Apply the 3rd lightest eye shadow near your tear duct and below your eyebrow and blend it until you're happy (some people like it almost stark white and others don't)
Apply your eyeliner, false lashes, and mascara
Before any of these steps make sure you apply your base primer! Which you can purchase from urban decay (click here) or use a normal neutral cream eye shadow for the same purpose from E.L.F. (click here).
If you're not doing a natural color make your boldest or brightest color the crease.
If you have any questions, concerns, comments, or complaints let me know!
