Little doodle of Barboncito/Hastiin Dághaaʼ while I have my morning coffee. In case you didn't know, Barboncito is the man who signed the treaty of 1868 which allowed the Diné (Navajo) to return to their homelands after the long walk. The long walk was a forced death march to the internment camp Bosque Redondo (Hwéeldi in Diné Bizaad, the language) which, according to Wikipedia, resulted in an estimated 2,500–3,500 deaths (the long walk and internment).

Barboncito died in 1871 in Cañon de Chelly, his home. It's believed that he was buried with a handwritten copy of the treaty he signed. He's a very important figure in Diné history!
